The universe of Reacher on Amazon Prime Video is set to expand with the announcement of a spinoff called Neagley, which will center on the fan-favorite character. First introduced in season 1 of Reacher (based on the Lee Child novel The Killing Floor), s Neagley is an army vet who is a crucial ally to the eponymous character as he calls on her expertise to help with missions. She would return in season 2 and take on a much larger role, thus cementing herself as a key figure in the popular Prime Video series.
Interestingly, Neagley was not a part of Childs' The Killing Floor, and actually debuted in Bad Luck and Trouble (the novel season 2 is based on). However, the addition to season 1 helped elevate the fledgeling action series, and her importance to the story has only gotten stronger with the confirmation of her return in the show's third season. Now, the popular character will be the focus of her own series, and Maria Sten is set to return to the role. Though details are scant, Neagley is already shaping up to be a brilliant move from Prime Video.

From all the news that's come since the spinoff series was announced in September 2024, it seems as if Neagley has been given the rocketship treatment from Prime Video. Though it was clearly going to score a green light and a fast-tracking, it was announced in February 2025 that filming had begun. This rapid turnaround is almost unheard of in modern TV, and suggests that Prime Video wants the show to debut sooner rather than later. While a release date will remain elusive for quite some time, Neagley's release will probably factor into the fourth season of Reacher.
Reacher season 3 premieres on February 20, 2025.
The Cast Of Reacher's Neagley Spinoff
Maria Sten Is Reprising Her Role
Returning to lead the cast of Neagley is Reacher star Maria Sten, who stole the show as s Neagley in seasons 1 and 2 of the Lee Child adaptation. Sten was a shoo-in for the spinoff, and Neagley wouldn't be the same without the original actor returning to play the role. It's unclear if any other Reacher cast will make an appearance, and Alan Ritchson hasn't signed on to return as the heavily-muscled action hero just yet. Presumably, the cast will be made up of mostly new characters, as evidenced by other cast announcements.
ing Sten will be Greyston Holt (Bitten) as Detective Hudson Riley, while King Ivory star Jasper Jones is set to appear as Keno. Adeline Rudolph (Resident Evil) will appear as Renee, and Matthew Del Negro (Goliath) is playing the role of Pierce Woodrow. Damon Herriman (Better Man) will play the role of Lawrence Cole, but like his fellow ing cast , almost nothing is known about his character.

The Story Of Reacher's Neagley Spinoff
Will The Show Explore Her Backstory?
the most logical approach would be a series set at the same time as Reacher which follows Neagley as she goes on her own missions.
When the Neagley series was first announced in September 2024, almost nothing was revealed about the plot of the spinoff. Since the character was only a ing figure in one Lee Child novel, it's safe to assume that whatever plot the TV show explores will be entirely new. Child's input can help make it true to the character, but it won't have much to pull from. Nevertheless, the most logical approach would be a series set at the same time as Reacher which follows Neagley as she goes on her own missions.
When Amazon ordered Neagley to series in October 2024, a slew of key details were also revealed about the spinoff's plot. The series will follow Neagley as she is rocked by the death of a close friend in a mysterious accident. Not believing the story, Neagley begins to investigate and discovers a web of lies that led to her friend's premature death. Using the skills she picked up from Jack Reacher, Neagley will then go on her own quest for justice.
