four more games are coming to Switch Online, as three more SNES titles and one NES game will be available to next week. One of the best reasons to subscribe to Nintendo Switch Online is the library of classic NES and SNES games that can be played anytime.

A Nintendo Switch Online subscription is necessary for playing online games on the Switch. This means that the Switch generation marks the first time that a paid subscription is required for Pokémon trading. Not only do subscribers gain access to the online services of the Switch, but they can play exclusive games, like the incredible Tetris 99, and Super Mario 35. There are also exclusive item packs given out for games like Animal Crossing: New Horizons and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Nintendo Switch Online is cheaper than similar services used by Microsoft and Sony, but it also doesn't give out contemporary titles to subscribers.

The initial line-up of NES and SNES games on Nintendo Switch Online included a murderers' row of titles, which has been added to sporadically since the launch of the service. It seems that the list of available games is starting to run dry, as Nintendo has announced four relatively unknown games are coming to Nintendo Switch Online on February 17. A video showcasing the games was ed to the official Nintendo YouTube channel.

The only NES game of the bunch is Fire 'N' Ice, which is a puzzle game about a wizard conjuring blocks of ice to put out fires. There are three SNES games arriving on the same day: Doomsday Warrior. Psycho Dream, and Prehistorik Man. Doomsday Warrior is a fighting game about a group of warriors who are placed under a mind-control spell. Psycho Dream is a side-scrolling action game, where the player can choose between two unique characters to carve their way through enemy hordes. Ryo is a sword-, while Maria uses a whip. Prehistorik Man is a colorful platform game starring a caveman.

The Switch's 2021 schedule is looking bare, and this would have been the perfect time for Nintendo to whip out some of the big missing titles for the service, like Duck Hunt, EarthBound, or a big third-party game, like Terragnima. The next crop of games isn't terrible, but the Nintendo Switch Online service is badly in need of some more high-profile titles.
