Netflix Original, Matthew Murdock. Across the show's three seasons, there are a lot of characters, some of whom are extremely complex, while some who do their jobs quietly and effectively.
While Wilson Fisk and his goons threaten the integrity of Hell's Kitchen in seasons one and three, The Punisher and The Hand wreck havoc in the second. Of course, Daredevil has to deal with them all because unlike some, there's no break in his line of work.
Elektra Natchios
Elektra is introduced in the middle of season two and from the start, she felt like an interesting character. She has dark, psychopathic tendencies but Matthew Murdock seems to bring out the light in her. She knows who she is without him, but with him, she is someone completely different. And the worst thing about her is that she doesn't know what she wants. Elektra thinks Matthew doesn't deserve her.
Claire Temple
Claire Temple is in almost every Netflix-Marvel superhero series and that in itself makes her such a complex character. She knows these superhuman beings and even though she doesn't like their lifestyle, she is attracted to it and them. A nurse by nature, Claire sees the good and bad in people. She is someone who wants to do good, no matter what happens with her life. Also, she hates The Hand, like everyone else.
Ray Nadeem
The surprise package of season three, FBI Agent Ray Nadeem had the unfortunate experience of being marked out by Wilson Fisk. Due to his family and financial problems, Nadeem was an easy target for Fisk to do what he always wanted to do, which is to use the Federal Government.
Ray is a family man, who's only doing what he feels is right for them, but he doesn't know that he is slipping into a black hole; one which he can never climb out of.
Ben Ulrich
Ben Ulrich is not a huge part of the story in the first season but he leaves an unthinkable impact on it. A ruthless reporter by nature, Ben has brought down many crime syndicates with his pen but over the years, he has never come up against someone as evil as Wilson Fisk. Although Ben wants to stop digging for his wife, he just can't let it go without getting the truth. It's no surprise that he found himself in the bad books of The Kingpin.
Benjamin Poindexter
The FBI Agent who goes on to become one of the most infamous villains in Marvel Comics history, Benjamin Poindexter is what one calls a proper psychopath who not only loves violence but doesn't feel any kind of remorse towards anything or anyone. Add to that his ability to find the target from insane distances and Fisk has a soldier who can accomplish any task. Poindexter aka Bullseye was set to be the focus in season 4 before Netflix canceled the show.
Foggy Nelson
Matt's best friend and the only person who'll never turn his back on him, Foggy Nelson is the definition of a good human being. A brilliant lawyer, Foggy, always has a smile on his face, and no matter what, he wouldn't let anyone see the problems he is facing. He is a great character in the Daredevil comic books as well and without him, Matthew cannot imagine himself being the sane and honest person he is.
Frank Castle
The Punisher is not a maniac, instead, he is someone who is looking for redemption. Vengeance has consumed him and it is understandable because some criminals took everything away from him.
Frank doesn't want forgiveness, he just wants to fill that deep-lying hole inside his life left by his family and no matter what he does, it will always remain there. The Punisher and Daredevil teaming up was one of the best things about season two.
Karen Page
From the beginning of the series, Karen Page felt like a character that had a lot of layers. Everyone knew she was hiding something, but no one could have guessed how dark a secret that would be. She was a drug addict who had a hand in her brother dying and that is something no one can forget. It's no secret that Karen is a restless and relentless reporter, which she learned from Ben but all of her traits revolve around one singular incident in her life.
Wilson Fisk
The Kingpin is an infamous Daredevil villain and there are quite a few reasons for that. Wilson Fisk in this series comes across as someone who cannot be defeated because he sees everything coming, doesn't he? He has a way out of every precarious situation but Daredevil is not one for giving up. Fisk's past has always had a hand in what he's doing to Hell's Kitchen because inside his heart, he is still just a little boy who murdered his father to protect his mother.
Matthew Murdock
Matthew Murdock is one of the best characters in Marvel Cinematic history and Charlie Cox plays Daredevil like he was born for this role. A blind man, with heightened senses running around Hell's Kitchen as the devil is something no one can on. Also, him being a lawyer adds another dimension to his character. Even his father, Jack Murdock, is an interesting character, who could easily have had at least five episodes dedicated to him. No one will ever forgive Disney for playing a hand in canceling Daredevil.
