Netflix's in unprecedented fashion, thanks to the breakdown in the relationship between Netflix and Marvel Television. But after The Defenders arc, the show managed to give the fans some amount of closure after an absolutely sumptuous season three.
Matthew Murdock is battered and wounded after saving New York from extinction and he's now trying to gain back his strength in a place where he grew up. Wilson Fisk is planning something and whatever that is, Murdock knows New York needs Daredevil.
"Karen" (8.8)
In the tenth episode of season 3, one of the central characters in the story finally gets a background. Karen Page has always been hiding something. She is drawn to the psychopathic lifestyle and this episode confirms why that is the case. She has gone through so much that she cannot even look in the eye of her dad. In the present, Bullseye aka Benjamin Pointdexter is out to take her life and Daredevil must, somehow, save her and the people he cares about at the church.
"Aftermath" (8.9)
In the seventh episode of season 3, the repercussions of the press attack are felt by Murdock, as everyone is ready to crucify Daredevil for what he did, even though it was Pointdexter doing the dirty work. In order to clear his name, Murdock reaches out to FBI Agent Nadeem. He tells him exactly what he feels about Fisk using the FBI. And deep down, even Nadeem seems to know that. It's a tense episode, with stunning cinematography.
"The Perfect Game" (9.0)
In the fifth episode of season 3, Fisk goes all out for Murdock after he gets the information that his body hasn't been found yet. This is absolutely surreal for many reasons. First, because, deep inside, Fisk already knows that Murdock is Daredevil and yet, he is not ready to accept it. The biggest reason for it being the fact that Murdock was in front of his eyes for a long time and he couldn't decode that he was Daredevil.
"Upstairs/Downstairs" (9.1)
In the eighth episode of season 3, Murdock, cornered, bruised, and battered, helps FBI Agent Nadeem, in order to get him the vital information regarding Fisk using the Federal Government. Nadeem needs to be sure about it, as they go on hunting for some evidence.
Moreover, Pointdexter is not in a good place, so he reaches out to Julie, again, but Fisk will not let Julie come in between Pointdexter and him.
"Revelations" (9.2)
In the ninth episode of season 3, Karen runs for her life, after her plan to take down Fisk fails. She told The Kingpin that she is the one who killed James Wesley. Elsewhere, Murdock's world crumbles even further after he discovers a shocking truth about Sister Maggie.
She is revealed to be his mother and to be honest, it's understandable that Murdock feels betrayed, especially after the way his father died and he felt that he was alone in the whole world.
"Reunion" (9.2)
In the eleventh episode of season 3, as the title suggests, a reunion between three friends, Karen, Foggy, and Matthew takes place as they decide they need to work together if they are to bring down Fisk once and for all. FBI Agent Ray Nadeem and his family's life is at stake, with Fisk all about to kill them. Daredevil must save him because he is their shot at The Kingpin. Pointdexter is at edge with everything happening in this episode.
"One Last Shot" (9.4)
The penultimate episode of season 3 is based around FBI agent Ray Nadeem and his testimony to the Grand Jury. He wants to tell everything about Fisk, along with everyone who is involved in this massive cover-up. But one can't beat The Kingpin that easily.
He not only gets to the jury but also sends Pointdexter to finish off Nadeem before he can do any more damage. Murdock is on the fence thinking about his next move.
"Blindsided" (9.6)
In the fourth episode of season 3, the show cements its place as being one of the very best at shooting enthralling action scenes with incredible cinematography. Murdock wants to know exactly why Fisk is turning on The Albanians, so he visits an old client in jail. But little does he know that he is running straight into a trap, set up by none other than The Kingpin. Seeing Daredevil fight in a coat is better than anyone can imagine.
"The Devil You Know" (9.6)
The sixth episode could easily have been a finale. Daredevil is about to lose everything but he wouldn't go down easily. Murdock wants help from Karen and the latter isn't obliging. But she changes her mind after talking to Foggy.
Fisk senses danger and like he always does, he plans something out of the box. He uses Pointdexter's tendencies against him and gives him a direction - go wreck havoc in Murdock's world.
"A New Napkin" (9.6)
In the season 3 finale, Matthew Murdock ponders whether he should step over the line and kill Wilson Fisk, or should he trust the system again. While coming up with a plan, he improvises after finding out what Pointdexter hates the most. He pins Bullseye against The Kingpin. Amongst the chaos, he makes his way to Fisk as battle lines are drawn between the two. Foggy and Karen try everything they can to stop Murdock from doing something horrific.
