While plenty of films and television shows are getting delayed or cancelled due to the coronavirus outbreak, Netflix and other streaming services are less affected and can still provide some good news. Specifically, Netflix has officially announced the renewal of its notably successful reality shows. The streaming service has been experimenting more and more with that genre and has finally struck gold with a few series in recent months.

The release of any new seasons won't be until next year, and the shows aren't starting production anytime soon. However, this information comes with the beginning of online casting for these shows, and the official renewals are big news. Here are the specific reality shows that were included in that.

Love Is Blind

Season 1 of Love Is Blind was released in the middle of February and immediately got people's attention; it's already arguably the most successful reality show that Netflix has created so far. The blind speed dating format that eventually collides with real life gripped viewers, and fans are still keeping with the cast and the status of the lasting couples. In fact, when it comes to the romance aspect, it appears to have already been more successful than other series that have been airing for years.

Barely a month after the first season officially ended, it's no surprise to see the show be renewed. The minor surprise might be that it's actually been renewed for not just one, but two seasons already, locking it in for 2021 and 2022.

Rhythm + Flow

The cast of Rhythm & Flow

Late last year, Netflix made it's first music competition show in Rhythm + Flow, where famous hip-hop artists judge unsigned rappers competing for a $250,000 prize. It successfully set itself apart from other music competition shows due to the focus on hip-hop and rapping as opposed to singing, which many shows such as The Voice lean on. Rhythm + Flow wasn't as popular as Love Is Blind, which would be why it hasn't been given two more seasons, but TV Guide reports that it's garnered enough steady to have a second season green lit, once again likely coming in 2021.

The Circle

Netflix released The Circle Brazil and will be releasing the first season of a French version of the series in April. Netflix is already doing a lot with the show, so it makes sense to see it reported that The Circle has been renewed for two whole seasons too, as the streaming service is moving forward confidently with its own reality shows.
