As The Circle, plenty of friendships were formed on season 2, even if the people involved in these budding platonic relationships didn't even know for sure if the person they were talking to was indeed who they said they were.
Nonetheless, everyone was being themselves in some way, even if they were officially playing as someone else. And that tugged at the heartstrings of both players and viewers. With that said, not every friendship lasted. Some ended before they even had the chance to flourish while others might even endure in the real world.
Courtney And River (Lee)
While Courtney was being authentically himself (simply changing what he did for a living), River, a supposed 24-year-old gay man, was actually Baby Boomer Lee. Even though he was pretending to be much younger, however, Lee was still playing as himself, just a younger version. And he and Courtney had a beautifully honest and trusting friendship that was reminiscent of Joey and Shubham's friendship from season one.
They thought on the same wavelength for every decision, always had one another's backs, and were always there to, as Courtney would say, "spill the tea" when drama was going down. They were running the game for much of it, and their ability to keep the power had a lot to do with the strong bond they had with one another.
Courtney, River (Lee) And Chloe
Courtney and River (Lee) were the two closest players, but they also had a third amigo in the alliance, and that was Chloe. She got along amazingly well with both of them, and they loved having fun and enjoying light-hearted conversations with one another.
They all trusted one another and seemed like real friends who would hang out for brunch or go for drinks at the club after the game was over to gossip about everyone. It's no surprise, then, that Chloe ranks as the fan-favorite cast member of the season.
Chloe And Trevor (Deleesa)
Chloe, who some fans already knew from Netflix's Too Hot to Handle, hoped her friendship with Trevor could develop into much more, and indeed, it escalated to flirting during their time in the game. Unfortunately for Chloe, she didn't realize she was actually speaking to Deleesa, Trevor's wife in real life.
Still, even though Deleesa felt bad for deceiving Chloe, she also felt a true connection, such that they might very well be friends outside of the game when it's all said and done. A lot of what Deleesa shared with Chloe was true, even if it pertained more to her own childhood being raised by a single father versus Trevor's contrived story of being a single dad.
Trevor And Mitchell
The two buff, jock-like guys in the game instantly gravitated to one another. The second that Trevor made clear to Mitchell that he had feelings for Chloe and Mitchell agreed to stand down, they had mutual respect for one another.
They didn't get close enough in the game to consider theirs a bona fide "bromance." Still, there was an understanding that they would look out for one another and would always be real and truthful.
Savannah And Terilisha
This friendship was great…until it wasn't. Savannah and Terilisha instantly clicked given their love for STEM fields and understanding of science and engineering. They seemed to be getting along really well until they were both named influencers and disagreed on the decision of who to block.
They began to throw accusations against one another and talk behind each other's backs, leading to a bitter, albeit also entertaining, rivalry between the two. Their friendship quickly went from friends to frenemies to outright enemies. Nonetheless, not all friendships work out, and this was the one with the most interesting trajectory.
Jack And Lisa As John
Jack and Lisa had both been blocked as their previous identities, Emily and Lance Bass, respectively. But they were given a big surprise when they were told that they would have a second chance to re-enter the house together, playing as an older man named John.
The only two to play as a team, they quickly formed a friendship while staying in the same apartment, despite their 20-year age difference. They danced, partied, played games, and made decisions together without any conflict or disagreements.
Khat And Mitchell
Their friendship didn't get to blossom as much as the others since Khat was quickly sent home. But they came into the game together, faced the Joker together, and by default, stuck together to do what they could to save one another.
Chances are they might have grown closer had Khat not been blocked. Khat also didn't choose to go see Mitchell once she was blocked. Nonetheless, as the new players, they made sure to look out for one another.
Savannah And Courtney
Savannah and Courtney would have run the game had Savannah not been blocked. But she chose to go see the pop culture commentator Courtney when she had the chance before leaving the game and armed him not only with information about Terilisha but also with a pep talk that really got him amped up to play.
They had a genuine friendship and their conversation and interaction with one another once meeting in person was so natural. If any two players would remain friends outside of the game, it would be them.
River (Lee) And Lance Bass (Lisa)
River's friendship with Lance Bass, a.k.a. Lisa, was more predicated on the fact that he was a huge fan of NSYNC and really wanted to believe that it was truly Bass playing the game. His hope was to eventually meet him.
With that said, the friendship might have been more superficial than anything else, as a fan looking to chat up a celebrity. Nonetheless, it was adorable to see Lee - the much older player the game needed - playing a 24-year-old young man, try not to show his cards to a pop star he knew so much about.
Bryant And Everyone
Even though Bryant was voted out of the game first, he made friends with all of the other players before that happened. In fact, it was precisely that reason that he got voted out: he was far too likable and, many felt, a dangerous player who would have been a shoo-in to win if he were allowed to stay.
Bryant's positive energy, ive tone, and quirky personality won the hearts of everyone. Not a single person came out with a bad feeling about him.
