The Four Seasons' ending went in a surprising direction that clearly set up another season.
Netflix has now announced at their Upfront 2025 presentation that The Four Seasons has been renewed for season 2, only 13 days after the show first debuted. The other announced renewals include Bridgerton for seasons 5 and 6, The Diplomat for season 4, Survival of the Thickest and My Life with the Walter Boys for season 3, and Forever for season 2. Along with Bridgerton seasons 5 and 6 being greenlit, season 4 was confirmed to be released in 2026.
What This Means For The Four Seasons & The Other Renewed Netflix Shows
They Are Integral To Netflix's Future
While Netflix has garnered a reputation for prematurely canceling many of its shows, these renewals demonstrate the confidence that they have in these six specific series. The streaming platform usually waits to see the first month of viewership data before making a decision. This makes it all the more impressive that The Four Seasons has been renewed less than two weeks after its premiere and it speaks to how popular the show has already become.

9 Biggest Changes Netflix's The Four Seasons Show Makes To The 1981 Original Movie
Netflix's 2025 miniseries version of The Four Seasons makes some changes to the 1981 original that have made the updated version a huge success.
The quick renewal of Netflix's Forever show is also quite impressive, as it debuted on May 8. The Four Seasons and Forever's viewership have already met the streaming platform's high viewership standard, which has become a rare feat. In of the renewed shows that have been around longer, greenlighting seasons 5 and 6 of Bridgerton indicates that Netflix wants the Regency-era show to become even bigger. With Squid Game and Stranger Things soon ending, the popularity and longevity of Bridgerton has become even more important for the streamer.
Our Take On These 6 Netflix Renewals
Netflix Is Making The Right Decisions With These Shows
After how invested I became in The Four Seasons, I am thrilled that it has already been renewed for season 2. The quick renewals of The Four Seasons and Forever make me hopeful that Netflix will not waste any time when it comes to building on the success of their newer shows. Meanwhile, Netflix's leadership is well aware that they will lose subscribers after Squid Game and Stranger Things end, but they are still working on having plenty of ongoing shows to keep subscribers interested in the coming years.
