As the Winter Convergence Festival gradually winds to a close, higher tiers in the Winter Convergence Shop, they will need more tokens to purchase the items they desire. The rare furnishings, in particular, will cost a considerable amount of tokens in the form of " tokens," which equal Winter Tokens x 25.
No matter how many tokens one may have, players must have the required reputation level to unlock items for purchase. As a result, earning Winter Wanderer Reputation will become paramount. New World provides several activities for acquiring reputation points while they obtain tokens. These include looting the Gift Piles within settlements or finding present stashes out in the wild. However, one of the fastest ways to earn Winter Wanderer Reputation and level up in New World is farming Gleamite Meteorites.
Appearing only at night, Gleamite Shards and Chunks will spawn in the form of a meteorite. The meteorite will explode above a fixed spot and disperse Gleamite about the area. Before collecting any of the mineral nodes, be sure to consume Buttercream Pudding, special food that increases Dexterity and doubles the amount of Gleamite Crystals obtained from a node. Buttercream Pudding can be purchased from the Winter Convergence Shop for Winter Tokens x 2.
Gleamite Farming in New World
However, as mentioned above, the drawback is that these meteor showers will only spawn at night. Thus, it is recommended that players complete Winter Wanderer quests and other activities such as event objectives on the Town Boards in New World during the day. Additionally, to visit all four of the Winter Villages to earn the free reputation from the Gift Sacks sitting beside the Yeti.
Scouring the land for Gleamite Meteorites and memorizing their spawn points will take considerable time. Therefore, it would be wise to use online resources such as interactive maps of Aeternum to effortlessly locate where Gleamite can be found. For example, the spawns around the Winter Village in east Everfall are more accessible than those in the northern regions of the world. Routing an optimal path for collecting the Gleamite nodes would also be beneficial for maximizing the amount of Winter Wanderer Reputation, and Winter Tokens gained. New World players can also use Azoth for quickly traversing the map from point to point for farming Gleamite.
