A new shows both Nightwing and Barbara Gordon perched high above the Gotham City skyline, and the amazing cover may have settled the decades-long love triangle between Nightwing, Barbara and Starfire. The issue goes on sale in June.

Throughout his career, as both Robin and Nightwing, Dick Grayson has been in committed romantic relationships with several heroes, including the Huntress. But perhaps his two greatest love interests have been Barbara Gordon, who he met while he was still Robin, and written by Tom Taylor and illustrated by Bruno Redondo.

In a Tweet, Nightwing writer Tom Taylor unveiled the cover by Bruno Redondo on Twitter. Taylor prefaced the image, saying it was “special.” The cover sets a romantic scene, with the two high atop the Gotham City skyline, watching the sun rise together. Both are dressed in their uniforms, so perhaps this cute moment comes after a night of dealing with the worst Gotham has to offer. Fans have responded to the image, giving it over 2,000 likes and nearly 300 retweets.

Nightwing has a reputation for being a ladies’ man in the DC Universe and judging from the number of relationships he has had, the reputation is justified; however, Starfire and pages of Nightwing, and the cover to issue 93 may close the book on this story once and for all.

Nightwing has been at the center of one of the greatest love triangles in not only DC history, but comics as a whole. Now, after years of indecisiveness, Nightwing may have finally found the one for him—Barbara Gordon.
