Robin nearly kills another hybrid, but Superman stops him and the three take down the ring and free the other hybrids. Damian worries that he might have seriously hurt someone, but Dick assures Damian that he didn't. He goes a step further and tells Robin he's a good person and not responsible for the times he's been used as a weapon.

Nightwing Reminds Fans Why He's Robin's Best Mentor

"Beast World" has been hard for many of the DC Universe's heroes. What began as a mission to stop an alien ended with Beast Boy losing his mind after transforming into a Star Conqueror. The transformed Gar Logan began unleashing spores that infected the most powerful heroes in the DC Universe. While many tried fighting the beast-people created by the spores, Robin tried helping them and tried tracking down Gotham's missing infected. Unfortunately, he ran afoul of Apex Ava, the villain who'd been kidnapping the hybrids, and she forced him to consume a spore, turning Robin into a cat hybrid.

Nightwing and Robin have a long history together as Dick was the first hero to take Damian on as a sidekick. Few people know Damian as well as Grayson does and no one knows the struggles Damian's had. From overcoming the conditioning his mother put him through to becoming a brainwashed animal hybrid, Robin has been used as a weapon and has deep-seated fears that he's only capable of horrible things. But Dick knows nothing could be further from the truth. Nightwing knows that Robin has grown a lot and has the soul of a hero inside him.

Nightwing Will Make Sure Robin Grows Up to be His Best Self

Robin might come off as a tough guy, but underneath all that bluster is someone who fears he's too damaged to be a proper hero. Dick knows how hard Damian has fought to be better than what he was trained to be. Nightwing's assurances are something that Robin needs because if Damian believes anyone, it's the person who first believed in him. While Damian's time forced to compete in the Pit is no doubt going to weigh heavy on him, Robin's ultimately going to be okay because he's got Nightwing in his life.
