The the price tag of Switch 2 versions of older games, and the $80 price tag of some new games, like Mario Kart World. There's some positive news regarding a possible attempt to rectify a major problem with the original Switch, but the details are muddy.
During a developer roundtable event (via Eurogamer), Nintendo was asked if there were plans to address the stick drift issues of the original Joy-Cons for the Switch 1 in their updated Joy-Con 2 for the console's successor, and while we didn't get a direct answer, there are definitely improvements being made to the Joy-Con 2.
Nintendo Switch 2 hardware design lead Tetsuya Sasaki responded to the question, saying "the new Joy-Con 2 controllers for the Nintendo Switch 2 have really been designed from the ground up, from scratch, to have bigger movement and smoother movement" without directly addressing the concern over the widespread Joy-Con stick drift from the original Switch.

Nintendo Switch 2 "Game-Key Cards" Are Basically Physical Releases Of Digital Games
The Switch 2 will offer a new option for acquiring games, physical Game-Key Cards that will allow players to then and own the game.
With a chance to rebuild the Joy-Cons from the ground up, and the Joy-Con 2 supposedly featuring improved wireless capabilities, hopefully the drift issue remains in the past. But as much as Nintendo fans want Hall-effect joysticks, the company has not confirmed this either way.
Nintendo's Lack Of Specifics On Redesigned Joy-Con 2 Is Concerning
Hopefully, This Isn't A Repeat
While Nintendo is assuring fans the Joy-Con 2 controllers have been redesigned, their appearance seems to be very close to the original Joy-Con controllers, and Nintendo made almost no effort to ease fans' minds regarding stick drift, choosing to give a vague answer about exactly how the new controllers are better. Stick drift is not exclusive to the Nintendo Switch, with several other controllers having similar drift issues, but the issue was highly publicized with the Joy-Cons.
Nintendo is seemingly in a lot of hot water with fans right now, right on the heels of its controversial Nintendo Switch 2 reveal and a digital protest during its Nintendo Treehouse presentation, so fans were probably expecting a more direct answer to a legitimate concern. The Joy-Con 2 controllers seem to be an improvement on paper, but only time will tell if the drift issue is fixed or if this is just the beginning of many woes for the Nintendo Switch 2 after its release.
