The price of the Nintendo Switch 2 has been revealed quietly by an official press release following a Nintendo Direct showing off the new console's capabilities. The highly anticipated reveal showcased the social-centric features of the console from Nintendo, as well as plenty of games announced to be coming to the console when it launches. What the Nintendo Direct didn't mention was the price of the Nintendo Switch 2, despite a release date just about two months away.

The console's release date was revealed during the Nintendo Direct on the official Nintendo of America YouTube channel, but the price was surprisingly not announced during the Direct. However, a press release issued moments after the end of the stream confirms that the Nintendo Switch 2 will cost $449.99 when it launches on June 5.
