Everything in space comes with a cost, and some things in No Man's Sky come with a pretty hefty price tag. No Man's Sky has three forms of currency: Units, Nanites, and Quicksilver. Units are the most common form of currency, and they are used to buy almost anything among the stars. However, some items such as spaceships, tools, and freighters cost quite a few space bucks.
Players can earn units in a number of ways. They can sell materials at space trade stations. They can scan plants, animals, and minerals. They can even hunt down rogue ships for bounties. These are all great ways to earn a handful of units at a time, but there are a few more lucrative ways of earning units in No Man's Sky.
Digging Up Bones In No Man's Sky
Finding and selling ancient bones is one of the fastest and easiest ways to make a lot of units in No Man's Sky. Planets will first need to locate a planet that has Ancient Burial Sites. This indicator will show up when a player scans a planet similar to how a planet shows what resources it has. A player can locate burial sites using their Multi-Tool scanner the same way they find buried technology modules. Each bone can be sold for anywhere between 60K units to 2.5 million units depending on its rarity. They can be sold at any galactic trading station.
Completing Nexus Missions in No Man's Sky
The Nexus, which is aboard The Anomaly spaceship, offers players missions with high-value rewards. Some of these missions can take an hour to complete while others take just a few minutes. A player can accept one mission at a time but can accept an unlimited number of missions in a day. These missions can also be gone on with a group of up to four players which makes them easier to complete. These missions can offer players hundreds of thousands of units and other high-value items that can be sold.
Upgrade Multi-Tool Scanner In No Man's Sky
While scanning different plants, animals, and minerals on planets is a steady way to make an income in No Man's Sky, there are ways to make scanning items an even more lucrative career. Players can purchase upgrade modules for their Multi-Tool scanner aboard space stations and The Anomaly. Some of these modules will multiply the units earned by scanning items by the thousands making every plant scanned worth millions of units. The upgrade modules can sometimes be random, but any percentage increased in earnings is more money made from scanning.
While there are plenty of other ways to make a large number of credits in No Man's Sky, these are the fastest and simplest ways that even new players can accomplish. From the get-go, players can scan, dig, and visit The Anomaly which makes these ways the simplest and fastest ways to make units in No Man's Sky.
No Man's Sky is available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
