Merchants are a key part of character progression in No Rest for the Wicked. Weapons, armor, upgrades, materials, Runes, and more are most reliably found from the merchants in Sacrament. Although the town has seen better days, the merchants inside are still happy to take coin.

Sacrament is the first town the Cerim visits in No Rest for the Wicked and is the hub for all major merchants. The layout of the decaying city could be clearer and tricky to navigate, but most merchants are clustered together. From Runic enchantments to swords and shields, there is plenty to purchase in Sacrament.

What Every Merchant Offers

The Sacrament is filled with vendors, but you need to speak with each merchant individually for the character to appear on your map. Most vendors are found in the town square, north of the city gate, where you slew Warrick the Torn. There are seven total vendors, each selling unique wares. If you are looking for Fillmore, the blacksmith, he only arrives after you have slept your first night in town.

Merchant

Description

Fillmore

A blacksmith that sells weapons, armor, and cooking recipes. Fillmore can also repair and upgrade gear if you have crafting materials.

Mira and Meri

Twin sisters that sell cloth and leather-based items and low-weight class armor.

Eleanor

An enchantress who sells Runes that can bestow unique active and ive effects on your equipment.

Grinnich

Sells raw materials, oils, weapons, recipes, and other assorted items.

Whittaker

Once the Cerim completes the quest Of Rats and Raiders, you can purchase furniture and blueprints from Whittaker.

Markos

This vendor’s store contains bombs, oils, potions, raw materials, and recipes. He is not initially in Sacrament but is recruited on the road through The Potion Seller quest.

Captain Randolph

Gives bounties in exchange for coins.

Although Fillmore the blacksmith is the source for most direct equipment upgrades, the Watcher in the Rookery can upgrade inventory slots. To gain more weapons, armor, or material slots in your bag, you need to trade Ichor to the Watcher. Ichor is only acquired by slaying Torn monsters, which can be found abundantly in the Black Trench.

How To Upgrade Shops In No Rest For The Wicked

Image of the merchant upgrade screen from Danos in No Rest for the Wicked.

Every merchant in No Rest for the Wicked can be upgraded. To do this, you need to speak with Danos. Instead of wares, Danos sells blueprints and construction tasks. Once completed, the upgraded shops sell rarer goods and provide unique effects. Fillmore's Smithy and Eleanor's Enhancement shop are the two best shops to upgrade first. Both are relatively low-cost and provide immediate access to valuable Runes, weapons, and armor.

All shop upgrades require raw materials to complete. Ensure that you have a pickaxe, axe, and shovel to claim natural resources on your travels.

Aside from shop upgrades, Danos also sells blueprints that can make Sacrament much more navigable. The Rookery Elevator and Gallows Scaffolding connect the clustered town far better and improve the quality of life if you find the city challenging to traverse.

Danos can also upgrade your lodging at the Rookery. Of course, you can also purchase your own house after defeating Darak Falstead. There’s no shortage of options if you want to spend your hard-earned coin in No Rest for the Wicked.
