Since audiences loved Nobody, many are now anxiously awaiting the announcement of Nobody 2. In Nobody, Hutch Mansell (Bob Odenkirk) lives a mundane life and fails to take action when two criminals rob his home. He eventually tracks down the thugs and comes face to face with their boss, Yulian Kuznetsov (Aleksei Serebryakov). Written by John Wick creator Derek Kolstad and directed by Ilya Naishuller, Nobody features extraordinary fight sequences and moves along quickly at only 92 minutes in length.

The action movie was a hit upon release, pleasing both critics and general audiences alike. Nobody has a cast of talented actors who help make the action movie fun, thrilling, and engaging. Naishuller's 2021 film proves that Odenkirk is perfectly capable of headlining an action franchise, one that could potentially crossover with the John Wick film series. With the action sequel coming soon, the latest news arrives in the form of a teaser trailer for Nobody 2 at CinemaCon 2025. Universal Studios hosted a at the movie preview event in April, and they took some time to tease what is coming in Nobody 2. Unfortunately, the trailer that was screened is not available for public viewing yet. However, ScreenRant was in attendance and has provided a lengthy description of the footage:

The footage begins with Bob Odenkirk in an elevator. He asks, “You guys have fun at the convention?” Then he starts fighting everyone in the elevator. We then see him with his family. They decide to go on a family trip to an amusement park. While there, someone bullies his daughter and slaps her on the back of the head. Odenkirk separates from his family, goes back into the park, and beats up the people who bullied his daughter. Because of that, the cops come and Odenkirk gets discovered. It turns out he’s in the middle of something nefarious going on. “Guys I’m not gonna fight ya. I’m on vacation,” he says to a group of thugs, who then attack him. There’s a whole action sequence in a hall of mirrors. “I told you I’m on f*cking vacation,” he exclaims as he beats someone up.

Nobody 2 Cast

Hutch Returns To Fight Another Day

Nobody ended on a rather positive note, and the heroes all survived to fight another day. This means the cast of Nobody 2 will likely be stuffed with familiar faces, led by Bob Odenkirk as everyman Hutch Mansell. Along with Odenkirk, it has also been confirmed that Connie Nielsen will reprise her role as Becca alongside Christopher Lloyd as David Mansell.

The sequel will probably introduce a slew of new characters for Hutch and company to blast their way through, and the cast has already added an Oscar-nominated superstar. Sharon Stone (Basic Instinct) is set to appear as the villain of Nobody 2, though details about her role are still unknown. Similarly, Colin Hanks (Life in Pieces) will play a corrupted sheriff as a secondary antagonist.

Nobody 2 Story Details

What Could Happen In Nobody 2?

Hutch looks on blankly while holding a stack of burning money in Nobody

A post-script moment at the end of the first film teases the central character's backstory and future conflict, while the credits scene implies that David and Harry will be involved in a sequel. Like Nobody's contemporary franchise John Wick, the plot to the sequel could go in any direction, but will likely up the ante with more action and more stunning visuals.

Becca star Connie Nielsen's comments about the story are somewhat telling, and suggest that the sequel will put more emphasis on family struggle. Hutch's backstory will have a shattering effect on his idyllic family life, and that is the sort of intrigue not usually seen in typical action fare. Besides utilizing Bob Odenkirk's newfound action-hero abilities, Nobody 2 could also make use of his well-known dramatic chops as well.
