One Nobody Wants This season 2 has been officially confirmed by Netflix. It is expected to be released later this year.
In an interview with ScreenRant on The Handmaid's Tale season 6 red carpet, Simons addresses his character Sasha's relationship with Morgan in Nobody Wants This season 2. Simons explains that "it's not particularly funny to break up a family," meaning that Sasha and Morgan are unlikely to get together romantically. As further evidence to this point, he references one of Lupe's previous interviews, where she concretely said, "they're not getting together." He does note that the pair still have "a connection." Check out the full quote from Simons below:
ScreenRant: I loved your dynamic with Morgan in Nobody Wants This season 1. Where's that going in season 2?
Simons: I would say that it's not particularly funny to break up a family, so I think if there was hope, they would probably dash that. Justine [Lupe], I think, looked straight into the camera when we were at the Golden Globes and was like, "They're not getting together," so I think we can dispel that rumor.
But I will say one of the things that we talked about is that, whether it's romantic or not, there's a connection between those two people. And that's fun. It doesn't have to be romance. Maybe they'll just be friends, I don't know. They won't tell me!
What This Means For Nobody Wants This Season 2
Sasha & Morgan Have A Unique Friendship
Sasha and Morgan are the key sibling characters in the premiere season. Morgan is a sister to Joanne, with whom she hosts a podcast. Sasha, on the other hand, is Noah's brother and also Esther's husband. As Simons references in his quote, Sasha and Esther share a daughter, Miriam, together, making them a family of three. While Sasha and Morgan do not date in season 1, the series shows their bond, making some audiences suspicious of what might happen to the duo in season 2.

Nobody Wants This Review: Kristen Bell & Adam Brody Are Easy To Watch In Charming Netflix Rom-Com
Charming leads & a sweet premise make Netflix's new rom-com TV show an easy watch with plenty of comedic one-liners & sweeping first kisses.
Simons is right, though, that making Sasha and Morgan have a romance would effectively break up a family. Though Morgan does have a sex dream regarding her pseudo-brother-in-law in Nobody Wants This season 1, they end up as friends. While Joanne and Noah's relationship — which was at one time broken up — develops in a romantic sense in the forthcoming, Sasha and Morgan's dynamic can see platonic development. The show examines challenging relationships, so this unusual pairing could be another interesting one to explore.
Our Take On The Likely Sasha And Morgan Arc
I Agree That Having Them Break Up A Family Would Be Too Intense
I agree with Simons in that it is "not particularly funny to break up a family." While Nobody Wants This has dramatic elements, humor is still central to its tone and plotting. As such, having Esther go through the devastation of her husband cheating on her, even if she and Sasha's relationship is not perfect, might be too jarring and intense of a dramatic plotline for this show to reasonably take on. Their friendship, however, could add levity and humor as they navigate its complexity.

A loud, agnostic sex podcaster and a newly single rabbi unexpectedly fall in love, forcing them to navigate the complexities of their clashing beliefs, families, and careers. Their relationship faces constant tension as they balance their personal lives with societal pressures, leading to a series of humorous and heartfelt challenges.
