The latest  first Nope trailer did little in the way of revealing the plot of the movie. This was no surprise - the first trailers for Peele's first two movies, Get Out and Us, remained mysterious in nature until the movie's respective releases. Get Out went on to win Peele an Oscar for Best Original Screenplay and was praised for its examination of racial politics in the Obama era. Similarly, Us was praised for its mystery box plot and the performances of its leads, Lupita Nyong'o and Winston Duke.

Anticipation was already high for Peele's follow-up but after the debut of the first Nope trailer, it skyrocketed. The clip was light on plot, introducing Kaluuya and Palmer's respective characters before a montage of images teased a terrifying movie set on a ranch. Finally, a second Nope trailer revealed what everyone had suspected - that the movie was about some sort of alien invasion. Now, the final Nope trailer has unveiled the full plot of the movie.

Released by Universal, the Nope trailer begins with the death of James (Kaluuya) and Jill's (Palmer) father, prompting Palmer to return to the ranch. Yeun's character can be heard narrating the trailer that proceeds to show some sort of alien presence over the ranch. From there, Jill and James install cameras and become intent on proving the presence of the aliens, but eventually, they suspect that they may have angered this foreign presence. Naturally, it wouldn't be a Peele trailer if it gave away everything and much of the plot likely remains a mystery. While the crux of the film seems to center on Jill and James attempting to prove the alien presence above their ranch, Peele almost certainly has some tricks up his sleeve when it comes to the movie. What those could be remains to be seen, but it seems to involve some sort of mass hysteria, a movie studio, and Yeun's mysterious character.

Fortunately, audiences won't have to wait long until they can find out what's happening in the Nope trailer. The movie hits theaters on July 22, just in time to be this summer's breakout horror hit. Peele has experienced massive success with his first two movies and Universal's positioning of Nope certainly conveys their confidence in the movie. With this being the final trailer, it seems unlikely that any more story details about Nope be revealed about the movie until it is released next month.
