There are some fantastic and powerful weapons and armor to find while exploring and completing quests in The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered. Some of the best come from the 15 Daedric side quests that can be undertaken throughout your journey to save Cyrodiil, with the Daedric Princes offering some of the best rewards in the game. Each of these artifacts has decent enchantments, and collecting them all is definitely something to boast about.

There are 15 Daedric Shrines to find in Oblivion Remastered, dotted all over Cyrodiil, with some much easier to find than others. After completing a quest for the particular Daedric Prince, you'll be given an artifact that represents them in the world. The usefulness of each artifact will vary massively depending on your playstyle and character build, and there are no bad options, but some are a little better than others.

15 Masque of Clavicus Vile - Clavicus Vile

Fortify Personality By 20 Points

The Masque of Clavicus Vile is one of two rewards on offer for completing his quest; however, just as with Clavicus Vile’s Skyrim quest, the Masque is the true Daedric artifact. This piece of heavy armor fortifies Personality for 20 points while wearing it, meaning this Daedric artifact is something best kept in your inventory until speaking with merchants. While this sounds great in certain circumstances, the Masque can only be gained by giving up the Umbra Sword , easily one of the best bladed weapons in the game.

14 Sanguine Rose - Sanguine

Summon Random Daedra For 20 Seconds

The quest to gain the Sanguine Rose staff is one of the weirdest quests in Oblivion Remastered. It’s just such a shame that the artifact itself is such a pain to use. With Sanguine Rose, you will gain the ability to summon a random Daedra for 20 seconds, who, in theory, will assist in battle. The problem is that this random Daedra, who may in turn start summoning their own Daedra will not be allied with you. And if not summoned far enough away, this will soon add to your problems rather than help.

13 Volendrung - Malacath

Drain Health & Paralyze

Volendrung is a massive two-handed Dwemer warhammer given by Malacath after dealing with some enslaved ogres for him. Volendrung is a heavy and slow weapon, making it less versatile than others, and has a somewhat disappointing damage output. It carries two enchantments, the first of which will drain health for five points for 20 seconds, which sounds great, but it's important to that drain health only reduces a target's max health for the duration, after which they regain it. Volendrung’s second enchantment is far more useful, as it paralyzes targets for 3 seconds.

12 Ring Of Namira - Namira

Reflect Damage & Reflect Spells

Getting Namira to speak with you can be a little tricky, as you'll need to have a Personality score lower than 20, but once you gain her quest, it is very straightforward.

Make sure not to attack the Priests of Arkay yourself during Namira's quest and let the Forgotten deal with them; otherwise, the quest will fail.

Wearing the Ring of Namira, you'll be able to reflect 12% of normal damage and 10% of spell damage back at enemies. This is great for taking on mages, especially at higher levels where they will often end up defeating themselves. Best of all, this effect can stack to increase the damage reflected, such as the Thorn Shield from the Shivering Isles DLC.

11 Skull Of Corruption - Vaermina

Summon Corruption Duplicates Of NPCs

The Skull of Corruption is a great weapon to have and a lot of fun to use, but it is highly situational. Gifted by the Daedric Prince Vaermina, this staff will create evil clones of most humanoid NPCs for 30 seconds. This can be a fantastic way to get some help with difficult enemies or large groups, but will limit the XP gained. It's also worth noting that targeting an NPC with the Skull of Corruption does count as assault; however, if the clone kills them, it doesn't count as murder.

10 Wabbajack - Sheogorath

Transform Creatures Into Alternative Forms

The Wabbajack in Oblivion Remastered is another very fun Daedric weapon to get your hands on, and perhaps one of the more famous in the Elder Scrolls, but is also very situational. The Wabbajack transforms non-humanoid creatures into another random creature for 10 seconds, and in keeping with the Daedric Prince of Madness, Sheogorath, you have no idea what that will be.

If you don’t defeat the target in their new form, they will turn back with their full health restored.

This can be very helpful sometimes, as you can turn a dangerous creature into a deer or sheep. However, with Daedroth, trolls, and ogres also an option, exercising a little caution is a good idea sometimes.

9 Ring Of Khajiiti - Meridia

Fortify Speed For 10 Points & Gain 35% Chameleon

While some artifacts on this list are more situational, the Ring of Khajiiti has tons of versatility and is one I tend to keep with me regardless of character build. This ring is a reward from Meridia, often considered one of the ‘good’ Daedra, after you clear out some necromancers for her. The Ring of Khajiiti has two effects, the first being to increase Speed by 10 points, which is nice to have but nothing amazing. However, the ring also grants 35% Chameleon , which can be upped to 100% by combining it with other items that grant the same effect.

8 Mace Of Molag Bal - Molag Bal

Absorb Strength & Magicka

The quest to gain Molag Bal's artifact is more than a little twisted, with you expected to goad a pacifist into killing you. Once you've been killed, Molag Bal will resurrect you back at his shrine and give you the Mace of Molag Bal , a one-handed blunt weapon.

Blunt and Blade are two different skills in Oblivion, so make sure to level up Blunt if you're planning to use this mace effectively.

I've found that this is a brilliant weapon for any build using a mixture of melee and magic, as the enchantment on the artifact allows you to sap Strength and Magicka with each hit. This is devastating against magic s, who will steadily get weaker as the fight goes on.

7 Saviour's Hide - Hircine

25% Resist Magic

After being sent to kill a unicorn by Hircine, the Daedric Prince of the Hunt, will gift you the Saviour's Hide . The Saviour's Hide comes with an enchantment that grants 25% resistance to magic, limiting the damage done by incoming spells. This piece of light armor looks very cool, but the enchantment is a little lackluster considering you can't get it until level 17, at which point there are better options. That said, the resistance can be improved by pairing the Saviour’s Hide with other items such as the Ayleid Crown of Lindai .

6 Oghma Infinium - Hermaeus Mora

Plus 10 To Two Attributes & Three Skills

The Oghma Infinium will be the final Daedric artifact you’ll receive in Oblivion, as Hermaeus Mora will not give you his task until the other Daedric Princes’ quests have been completed. The rewards for having the Oghma Infinium are fantastic, as it grants a plus 10 to two Attributes and plus 10 to three skills, which is a massive boost. However, this is spoiled by how much of a pain it is to complete the quest, with Hermaeus Mora wanting you to Soul Trap one of each of Tamriel’s races, which is just as tedious as it sounds.
