Some The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered players have found a way to exit the main game's map and are attempting to explore the rumored location of the The Elder Scrolls 6. There have been a few rumors and leaks regarding The Elder Scrolls 6, but there has been virtually no concrete information about the game since its brief announcement trailer back in 2018. With a shadow drop of the Oblivion remaster last week, fans are eager to explore more than just Cyrodill in modern graphics to see what may come next for the series.
In a Reddit post by GnoblinXD, the player has found a way to reach Cyrodill's northern border and has made their way into Hammerfell, the alleged location for The Elder Scrolls 6. Journeying to this location is actually doable without any mods, glitches, or out-of-game assistance. By ing the southern Valenwood gap and then walking around the town of Anvil, you can head north towards Hammerfell.
Oblivion Remastered Players Are Finding Hammerfell
And It's Beautiful In Unreal Engine 5
The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered maintains a lot of the original game's glitches, quirks, and map-breaking bugs, but this path toward Hammerfell doesn't require glitches, just specific pathing. The notes that the Hammerfell area in the game is covered in trees, while the Valenwood area is bare. The land of Hammerfell also stretches beyond the limit of what can be rendered, so it's unknown how large the Hammerfell location in Oblivion actually is.

Oblivion Remastered Player Proves Glitches Have Gone Nowhere With 8-Minute Speedrun
An Oblivion Remastered speedrunner has finished the game in under 8 minutes and has the current world record, proving glitches have gone nowhere.
It's currently unknown how far players can explore the Hammerfell area. However, given that it's not the main area of the game, there probably isn't much to see before a bug or glitch may occur. Still, this is a neat detail, even if it may not have been completely intentional.
Hammerfell Is The Rumored Location Of The Elder Scrolls 6
It's Finally Time To Move On From Cyrodill And Skyrim
Bethesda's Todd Howard confirmed rumors are pointing toward Hammerfell, based on a Pinterest board from a Bethesda employee that may be serving as inspiration for the home of the Redguard race. In lore, the region is said to be home to vast jungles, wooded areas, grasslands, swamps, and more, so it could be the perfect diverse location for a new Elder Scrolls entry.
It remains to be seen if Hammerfell will indeed be the location of The Elder Scrolls 6, but the fact that players digging deep to explore the region in The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered may be a signal that the remaster has renewed interest in The Elder Scrolls 6, after almost seven years since its initial reveal. Hopefully, there won't be too much longer to wait for more solid information on the next Elder Scrolls location.
