Pam Beesley is a huge part of what makes the Dunder Mifflin Scranton branch run smoothly on The Office. Without Pam’s leadership and level-headed thinking when it came to workplace outbursts, who knows where the branch would have ended up.

As helpful as lenses are, they need to be taken care of properly to work correctly. When Pam and Jim began secretly dating, she forgot solution when she spent the night at Jim's house. The only thing she could do was to wear her old glasses that were from her youth.
As always, Michael made an awful comment about Pam's looks when he saw her wearing her glasses but seeing her in glasses from middle school because of a silly mishap is all too relatable.
It Can Be Hard To Stick To The Script
Some jobs require salespeople or those on the phones to stick to a specific script that's been hand-crafted by strategists at the company. Viewers saw Michael reading from a script when he worked a second job at night.
In "Fun Run," Pam was required to use an extensive greeting on the phone so that callers knew that Dunder Mifflin cared about rabies. By the time Pam got done reading the lengthy greeting, the person on the other line hung up. Office workers who have a script to follow know the feeling all too well.
Why Are Office Chairs So Uncomfortable?
Those at Dunder Mifflin spend a majority of their day at their desks. Because of how many hours a day they sit, one would assume that the chairs they sat on were cushy enough for the hours spent. But when Michael had a surplus to spend, the office was stuck in a debate: do they buy new chairs or a new copier? Pam made it clear that throughout her time at Dunder Mifflin, she was engaged twice but only had one chair. Those who sit at their desks all day can attest to how infrequent new chairs come by.
Take The Win When You Can
When Pam grew tired of being a receptionist, she dove into being a saleswoman. The only problem is that she wasn't great at sales. She's never been ionate about paper and it was hard for her to make that connection to clients.
When Andy called her out for not being a great saleswoman, she didn't even try to defend herself. Selling is difficult, and she doubled her sales from two to four and she's proud of it!
When You Find Out Your Job Is Redundant
With the way technology is advancing, many jobs that humans do can be replaced with computers. In one opening scene, Pam is thrown off when a salesman stops by Dunder Mifflin to sell an advanced phone system. The only problem is that if Dunder Mifflin bought these new phones, the need for a receptionist would be redundant. She would not have a job. Pam and Jim found a way to get rid of the salesman but seeing the look on Pam's face as she realized that she could be replaced by a machine at any given moment hit viewers in the same position in the feels.
Picture Those Around You With More Clothes On
The saying goes, if you're nervous talking in front of a group of people, picture them naked so that you're not as nervous. Pam, however, got the unwanted chance of seeing her boss naked when he was changing his clothes in his office. After seeing an intimate side of Michael, she couldn't look at him the same way again. Imagining coworkers in the buff is the wrong way to go, based on Pam's experience. It's best to imagine them with more clothes on.
Keeping Your Personal Life Personal
Based on the scenarios that happened at Dunder Mifflin, airing out your personal life at work is never a good idea. Any time Michael caught wind of someone's life outside of the office, he ran with it in the worse way possible. He told everyone Jim had a crush on Pam, he let it slip that the branch could be closing, and he started a rumor about Stanley's marriage. Things escalated when Pam and Jim itted that she was pregnant. Michael made a big deal about it, which should remind people to keep some personal matters outside of the office.
Getting A New Computer Is Like Pulling Teeth
Considering how expensive computers can be, replacing them isn't done often. On The Office, Pam told Andy that Dunder Mifflin could only replace the computers if they had multiple viruses on them and were essentially broken. Office workers with old computers know the struggle when it comes to slow programs or laptops that die quicker and quicker every day.
It's Time For A Fresh Start
After years of being a receptionist, Pam realized that it wasn't her ion and she wanted to try something new. She got into sales and then eventually became the office . The beauty of working in a position for a long time is being comfortable with what the job entails. But there comes a time in every worker's life whe tnhey want more. People can either get promoted, look for another job, or try another job within the same company. Pam was lucky to get so many opportunities at Dunder Mifflin.
Paid Time Off
Whether it's maternity leave, paid time off, a paid mental health day, or what have you, taking time off from work and getting paid for it is a blessing in disguise. Going on maternity leave was difficult for Pam but it meant time away from her wacky coworkers and her job. She got to be a full-time mom and be with her family. Pam loved it. New parents can understand her joy as she talked about maternity leave, and those who have taken time off know how refreshing it can be.
