Disney's fantasy series on ABC, Once Upon a Time, spent seven seasons telling intricate, live-action stories about classic fairy tales with the infusing of some of Disney's most popular characters ever created. The storytelling featured many layers, of course, and the characters always contained duplicitous personalities.
As such, the Zodiac signs best associated with each Once Upon a Time character can be tricky. For the most part, though, the fairy tale side of each character is fairly indicative of who the person is, as a whole. And while season seven was a major departure for the show, there were still a couple new characters who made a major impact.
Aries: Tiana
In the Disney world, Tiana is one of the only princesses who makes things happen for herself. This is no less true on Once Upon a Time, where Tiana is brought to life by Mekia Cox.
Tiana (or, Sabine, if one will) is highly self-directed and competitive of spirit. Because she demands the best of herself, though, the competitiveness mostly pertains to her own standards. Tiana's bullishness and pointed goal-setting personality makes her a perfect match for the Aries of the world.
Taurus: Emma Swan
Tauruses are known for being headstrong, stubborn, and determine. That is a perfect way to describe Emma Swan, the transient hero of Once Upon a Time who undergoes a number of personality transformations.
Throughout it all, though, Emma is always determined to do what she thinks is right. The catch is that it's hard to shake her from her stapled-down notion of right and wrong. Sounds like a Taurus, undoubtedly.
Gemini: Evil Queen
The Evil Queen, much like Emma Swan, tracks her own growth over the course of Once Upon a Time. The characters of the queens, good and evil, coupled with Regina and Roni make her one of the most unpredictable characters on the show.
As such, her duplicitous nature deposits her as a clear symbol of the Gemini sign, which is known for its dynamic attributes. Lana Parrilla's cavalcade of characters is the best match for Geminis in the world.
Cancer: Snow White
Ginnifer Goodwin's portrayal of Snow White is, for the most part, in line with the majority of Snow White depictions across film and television. She is sweet, nurturing, and comionate, above all else.
As such, anyone who was born under the sign of Cancer will find the most kinship with Snow White. She leads with sweetness and there's no denying that she is the embodiment of the most prominent Cancer qualities.
Leo: Wicked Witch
The Wicked Witch of the West, or Zelena, is Rebecca Mader's character who takes on a much bigger role as Once Upon a Time progresses. As many Wizard of Oz follow-ups tend to do, the Wicked Witch receives some requisite sympathy.
However, the Once Upon a Time version of the character still contains some of the traits of the character that are most associated with the Leo sign. For example, Leos are exceedingly dramatic, but also incredibly fiery. That's a perfect match for the Wicked Witch.
Virgo: Prince Charming
It's well-established that Prince Charming is dashing, heroic, and gallant. Not much changes for his role on Once Upon a Time, especially in the early goings of the series.
Josh Dallas' depiction of the character, who also is related to David Nolan, is no different from these traits. As such, anyone who is Virgo will receive Prince Charming as their representative because of their similarly loyalty, gentility, and grace.
Libra: Rapunzel
If one is born under the sign of Libra, they have an excellent chance of being gracious, creative, and social. In all walks of Disney media, Rapunzel is the embodiment of these traits.
Gabrielle Anwar's Rapunzel s the fray in Once Upon a Time's final season and she is reminiscent of Mandy Moore's animated version of the character: highly sociable and always thinking the best of others. Just like a Libra.
Scorpio: Belle
Belle is one of the most clearly defined Disney princesses and this carries over to Once Upon a Time, as well.
The ABC fantasy series maintains Belle's ion and bravery, that came in tandem with her intelligence, comion, and bookishness in the original animated film. In each of these traits, Belle becomes an excellent advocate for the world's Scorpios.
Sagittarius: Red Riding Hood
Meghan Ory's Red Riding Hood takes many forms on Once Upon a Time, but for the most part, she is always a prominent example of Sagittarius characteristics come to life.
Under the sign of Sagittarius, people tend to be generous of spirit, trusting, and outgoing. Is any character in fairy tale or ABC history more trusting than Red Riding Hood?
Capricorn: Captain Hook
Captain Hook on Once Upon a Time is one of the strongest examples of the series' tendency to shade characters in different lights than they received in the animated classics.
By the end of the series, Captain Hook was a bona fide fan favorite because of his qualities that are highly connected to the Capricorn sign. Capricorns are independent, determined, and always striving to be the best they can be. So is Hook.
