The sprawling content seen in One Piece Odyssey sees players travel through expansive open regions of classic locations from the iconic series, but there are plenty of tasks to return to and new paths to follow even after beating the game. Players have a chance to complete missed side stories that appeared in specific regions, or return to fights outside the main story missions to level up the Strawhats to gain their best abilities. Although not every challenge revisited in the game could be considered incredibly difficult after the credits roll, there are plenty of opportunities for players to take their journey further.

Once players have beaten the main story in One Piece Odyssey, they may wish to fully complete the game by earning every achievement through the completion of Side Stories. Many chapters of the narrative take place in classic locations from the long-running series, including Alabasta, Enies Lobby, and Dressrosa to name a few. Several optional objectives are offered through bounties, side story occurrences, and Memoria cubes scattered around every map used in these areas. Since none of these necessarily have to be tackled during a first playthrough, players are able to return to these for extra XP and Berries.

Unlock Every Strawhat's Abilities

Strong skills that define each member of the crew are locked behind progression and cubes the player collects, including the powerful Gear 4 for Luffy as an example. While plenty of XP exists in standard encounters throughout the areas players inhabit in specific chapters in One Piece Odyssey, a direct focus on the main story might leave the crew below their maximum potential after the game has finished.

Players certainly can beat the game without reaching these signature abilities, but part of the fun of One Piece Odyssey's faithful adaptation comes from the bombastic attacks seen from these warriors of the New World seas.

Finish Every Missed Bounty and Side Story

As mentioned before, players have the opportunity to take on bounties for Berries and XP in separate combat challenges against Wanted figures. Not only does this help players grow the Strawhats closer to their highest levels (Level 70), but these revealed enemies flush out the world also.

Part of the appeal of One Piece revolves around how natural its world feels, and these bounties allow players to interact with that depth through the always entertaining interactions between crewmates when going after these fugitives. One Piece Odyssey's Side Stories also fulfill this purpose, giving the chapter regions a much larger feel, especially in regions already beloved for their depth such as Alabasta.
