It may have taken some time to surface, but the good news is finally here. Ahead of season two's premiere, One Piece has not only announced who will be bringing Tony Tony Chopper to life for Netflix, but we have learned who will be playing the cute reindeer. Today, Netflix confirmed Superman actress Mikaela Hoover is playing Chopper, and her take on the One Piece lead was revealed in a special clip as seen below:

Of course, this latest piece of casting brings Netflix's One Piece closer to its return. Following the show's hit debut, its original crew will return courtesy of Iñaki Godoy, Mackenyu, Emily Rudd, Jacob Romero, and Taz Skylar. With season two on the horizon, One Piece is ready to bring even more Straw Hat crew to the screen, and this first look at Chopper has been long awaited by the fans.

Our first look at Chopper confirms Netflix's hit live-action anime is staying true to the original design made by Eiichiro Oda, the creator of One Piece. From his tiny hooves to his iconic hat, Chopper is sure to become a favorite with fans. Hoover perfectly captures Chopper's tone as she brings his youthful optimism to life.

If you are not familiar with Hoover, you will be hearing plenty about the actress in the coming year. Not only will she be overseeing Chopper in One Piece season two, the 40-year-old actress is set to star in James Gunn's Superman. She will be playing Cat Grant in the DC Studios project which debuts this July. And previously, comic book fans may Hoover from Guardians of the Galaxy and The Suicide Squad.

With Hoover onboard, One Piece season two is shaping up to be another success for Netflix. The original series has gathered a number of big stars for its comeback, after all. She will be ed by Mark Harelik, who plays Dr. Hiriluk, as well as actors such as Charithra Chandran, Joe Manganiello, and more.

At this time, Netflix has yet to confirm a release date for One Piece season two. The streaming service has only confirmed the new season will debut in 2026.
