Season three of roap cover-girl Wraith. Players have also been granted multiple new guns and melee weapons, harkening back to the previous Call of Duty games. The PPSH-41 Sub-Machinegun brings players back to the World at War days, while the Ballistic Knife holds up a 4-game tradition in the Black Ops franchise. However, the most impressive edition is Duga, the latest map in Outbreak Zombies.

Players who haven't hopped on the Outbreak Zombie train are missing out. The semi-open world zombie experiencing is like none other. With 5 rotating maps and 6 different objectives to complete, Outbreak has shaken its monotonous-at-times feel and keeps things fresh. Duga is the largest Outbreak Map to date, edging out Alpine by a bit. With multiple POIs and high vantage points, there is a lot for players to unpack on this new map. This guide will focus on a few key things players need to know about Duga and how to survive it in Cold War Outbreak Zombies.

Cold War Outbreak Zombies: Duga Survival Guide

Cold War Outbreak Zombies Elite

As mentioned, Duga is massive. Players will be finding secret bunkers reminiscent of those in Warzone, along with high vantage points in the center of the map. Multiple factory buildings and large houses make looting and exploring even more exciting as Zombies come bursting out of every doorway.

It's these large buildings and narrow hallways that can get players killed if they're not careful, especially on higher waves. The first time players get Duga will be between rounds one and five. Now with so many maps, the next time Duga comes up in rotation, it may be as hard as the game will get. Use the first encounter to explore the map, and focus on the main objective the next time.

Outbreak Zombies: Duga Map Locations

Cold War Outbreak Zombies Duga Map

As players explore each Outbreak map more and more, they grow accustomed to where the different upgrade stations are before activating the Beacon. We've laid out where each upgrade station is in Cold War's latest Outbreak Zombie map.

  • Pack-A-Punch: In the center of Duga are two tall scaffolding structures that can be rappelled up. Players can also take the stairs if they're so inclined. On the top level of the right tower is the Pack-A-Punch Machine. We advise taking the zipline as the stairs are time-consuming. Players will be more than safe up here and can effectively make it to most locations on the map from the top of these towers.
  • Wonderfizz: If in need of a quick re-up on perks, head to the southern center of the map to find a trio of large buildings. The Wonderfizz Machine will be in the left-most building when looking at the map. Players may also find the challenge station and a jump pad here as well.
  • Weapon/Armor Manniquine: Duga is so large that there are two mannequins to find. One is on the left side of the map, inside an open bunker. The other is on the far right side of the map in a cluster of three single-story office buildings. Players may also find the Red Fury Crystal Challenge here as well, Outbreak Zombies' latest side-mission.
  • Crafting Station: There are also two crafting stations to utilize on Duga. One is in the northern part of the map. The other is in the south. However, both are in Warzone-like underground bunkers full of zombies. Be careful if you're looking to craft mid-round. The northern bunker does have a nearby zipline that will take players up to the tall scaffolding.

How to Survive Holdout on Duga

COD Outbreak Zombies Holdout Guide

Every other objective, except for Defend, operates the same way no matter the map. Holdout is the only main objective in Outbreak Zombies that players can knowingly strategize for depending on the map. Here's how to survive Holdout on Duga.

Players will spawn into a two-level garage with an open bottom level and staircase leading up to catwalks overhead. Players will want to tuck themselves into the corner on the upper level, keeping a window to their right and the stairs in front of them. Be careful; Zombies will jump up and mantle over the railing on the left. It will be difficult for a teammate to guard the open window as they'll get swarmed from behind.

Duga Holdout is not as easy to defend as the other four. Players will need kill streaks, especially Sentry Guns, to guard areas they can't keep covered. Don't be afraid to swap out health stims for decoy grenades before a Holdout on any map. They are quick to throw and can distract normal zombies long enough for players to take care of Megatons.

Cold War Zombies: General Duga Survival Tips

Getting Duga early in the first map rotation makes it easy to explore by one's self. However, as the game gets harder, players are advised to stick together. It takes a while to get from one side of Duga to the other and, unless near a jump pad or the center scaffolding, down players will be waiting a while for their teammates to arrive. This is especially why Healing Aura is such an important field upgrade when playing Outbreak Zombies.

Players should use the center scaffolding as their primary way of getting around Duga on higher rounds. The height gives them plenty of room to jump and parachute to any POIs or nearby objectives. Ziplines also connect the scaffolding to different areas on the map as well as each other. The right scaffolding (with the Pack-A-Punch) is a little taller than the left. If looking to make a quick ground escape, know that there is a verticle Zipine right under the Pack-A-Punch machine that will take players up near the top of the scaffolding. They'll have a few stairs to climb, but they'll be safe from danger.

Duga is huge; there's no questioning it. Players are sure to have plenty of fun exploring this massive map as it comes up in the rotation. Don't get too greedy, and to use the center scaffolding as your primary source of transportation on higher rounds.
