Audiences will have to wait until Outlander season 8 to see how this all plays out. However, before this happens, the spinoff Outlander: Blood of My Blood will premiere its first season. Based on the filming schedules of past Outlander seasons, season 8 will likely begin to air near the end of 2025. Regardless, Outlander: Blood of My Blood season 1 is guaranteed to come first. This feels like very purposeful planning on Starz's part. Outlander season 7 dedicated some time to setting up the spinoff, so it seems like Blood of My Blood season 1 will do the same in return.

Audiences will be eager to learn whether Claire is right about her daughter Faith after the Outlander season 7 finale, and Blood of My Blood could provide some answers. There is a prominent theory that Master Raymond took baby Faith through time after resurrecting her. Since he didn't return the baby to Claire, it seems he had an alternative plan in place instead, and a destiny in another time and place could certainly be a reasonable explanation. Outlander: Blood of My Blood is set in two different periods that Claire herself has never visited, so these settings could be perfect destinations for Faith.

Claire's parents met and fell in love during the events of World War I in the early 20th century, while Jamie's parents began their forbidden romance in the early 18th. Either of these couples could have had unexpected run-ins with Master Raymond—a prehistoric time traveler—which means they might have also unknowingly met their resurrected grandchild. It has even been suggested that Faith could have been raised by either the Frasers of Beauchamps. If this is true, Outlander: Blood of My Blood could subtly reference Claire's lost baby in its first season. It would certainly provide an additional reason to tune in for season 8.

Blood Of My Blood & Outlander Can Help Each Other Out
Outlander: Blood of My Blood could have easily kicked off after Outlander came to an official close. The fact that Starz decided to stagger these seasons in this way indicates that there is a plan for Outlander and its spinoff to work together for a time. They can bolster one another's viewership, and the character of Faith Pocock would be among the best ways to do this. A storyline in which Claire's parents raise Faith might be a problem since audiences who didn't watch the spinoff would be lost come Outlander season 8. However, a subtle tease could go over perfectly.
More than likely, Faith Pocock is a time traveler (if she truly is Claire's daughter), and Master Raymond may have continued to play a role in her life. So far, there is no magical element teased for Outlander: Blood of My Blood—it's all romance and no fantasy. The spinoff series will need the time travel element added in, and a brief appearance from Faith as either a baby or an adult would be the perfect way to do this. If the summer's spinoff series teases that Faith truly did survive, then Outlander season 8 will instantly become all the more intriguing.
