As Palworld continues to receive Early Access updates, the game's developers have announced that one important feature is set to be added in March. Originally released in January 2024, Palworld is a base-building and monster-collecting survival game developed by Pocketpair, and has since become a breakout success for the developer. Following up on the game's major Feybreak update, which added a large amount of new content, Pocketpair has confirmed that another update is on the way.

In a new announcement from Palworld, it's been officially confirmed the game will be receiving a new update in late March, which will add crossplay between all platforms and world transfer for Pals. Celebrating the update's announcement, the game is also currently on sale at a 25% discount on Steam and the PlayStation Store for about 24 hours. At the time of writing, no set date for the crossplay update has been announced besides "late March".

What To Expect From The Palworld Crossplay Update

No Date Has Yet Been Set

As has been previously teased in the Palworld 2025 roap, the crossplay update will add two main features, the most obvious one being crossplay between all platforms on which the game is currently available. Currently, Palworld is available on PC, Xbox, PlayStation, and Mac, with players on Xbox or PlayStation platforms having more limited server access - presumably, the crossplay update will also implement complete server parity between all platforms.

In addition to crossplay, Palworld is also adding the ability to transfer Pals between worlds, allowing players to make new worlds or play on shared multiplayer worlds without having to completely start over in of catching and breeding Pals. Notably, further details regarding cross-progression or cross-saving between different platforms have not yet been made available.

As Palworld continues to release regular updates, the game has quickly become one of the best Early Access titles on the market, keeping players engaged as the game works up to an eventual full release. Even past Feybreak's release near the end of 2024, Palworld's recent Spring Festival update - and the addition of crossplay - are continuing to give players a steady stream of new ways to engage with the game.

More updates are still on the way for Palworld even after the addition of crossplay in late March, as the game is set to receive more new content in the form of an endgame scenario and in-game collaborations with other titles like Terraria. While the crossplay update for Palworld doesn't seem to be adding any new content, allowing players to connect and play together more freely should keep the game fresh.
