Alpha Pals in Palworld are larger Pals that are difficult to battle against and catch. They have higher HP than a normal-sized Pal and give great rewards for defeating them. Ensuring you are prepared to fight these Alpha Pals will help you lose fewer resources. Considering many of them around Palapagos Island, figuring out which ones are more difficult will help your gameplay.

Players will also receive Ancient Technology Points for defeating Alpha Pals. The higher the level and more difficult an Alpha Pal is, the more Ancient Technology Points they give. This is part of the risk one takes while surviving a fight against a giant creature.

10 Fenglope

The Glitched Gazelle

Fenglope can be considered one of the hardest Alpha Pals to fight in Palworld due to its unfortunate glitch. When you are near an Alpha Boss, you will notice it immediately. However, Fenglope falls through the ground from a glitch, making you unable to fight it. To fix this difficult glitch, make sure to set the world settings to spawn Pals 2x or more for a chance at fighting it.

9 ​​​​Lyleen Noct

Strong Dark-type Alpha

Lyleen Noct has stats similar to Palworld's Legendary Pals. It is a Dark-type Alpha Pal with many different Active Skills. When fighting, Lyleen Noct makes use of the boulders around the battlefield. You can dodge many of her attacks and avoid becoming Frozen, Electrocuted, or Burned.

8 Astegon

The Dark Dragon

Alpha Astegon's Boss fight is tough to solo because of its large area of effect damage. If you get too close to it, the Dragon Burst move discharges draconic energy, damaging those around it. Take note of how often it can use its Dark Laser as well, which has a power stat of 150. The most effective way to defeat it is by using an Ice-type Pal to keep it Frozen while you fight it.

7 Anubis

The Desert Guardian​

The Alpha Anubis Boss battle in Palworld can be very difficult. In general, Anubis's partner skill is to dodge attacks very quickly. You should be aware of this because his agility will make him harder to hit. Use Active Skill attacks like Icicle Spear and Acid Rain that lock onto the target.

6 Necromus

Night Warrior

To defeat Alpha Necromus, start by traveling north of the Deep Sand Dunes at night. He will be standing next to his Pal counterpart, Paladius, but since he is a Dark-type, he will still be awake. Fighting Alpha Necromus is easier than fighting the two of them together. Make sure to take a Pal with you who is either one of the best Dragon Pals or can use Dragon-type Active Skills.

Neutral-type Nightmare

Paladius can be more challenging to defeat than Necromus because of its higher defense, making it harder to take down. It is also because if it is fought during the day, it will be alongside Necromus, making it harder for you to dodge multiple attacks. Its Spear Thrust attacks will protect it while it charges at you every 40 seconds with 120 Power.

4 Jormuntide

Strong Sea Monster

Alpha Jormuntide is found in two different locations around the Palapagos Islands. These large Water- and Dragon-type Pals are found in lakes, canvassing their territory. They are also very volatile if they see you, so take caution before starting a fight. Consider using an Electric-type Grizzbolt or Orserk, some of the strongest Pals in Palworld.

3 Blazamut

Powerful Fire-type

Alpha Blazamut is known as the Flame Emperor in Palworld. This means that its ive trait gives it a 20% increase to Fire Attack damage. The strong Fire-type Active Skills that it uses literally burn through your armor, so be sure to dodge its attacks. 2 Jetragon

Fastest Mount

To prepare for Jetragon's Alpha Boss battle, bring the highest heat-resistant and defensive armor that you can create. Every Legendary Schematic will be very useful for this fight, but a Legendary Rocket Launcher is even more valuable. High damage that can hit in an area of effect will make it easier to take Jetragon down since it sprints really fast around the map. You should also consider using Ice-type Pals to Freeze it and weaken it for consistent damage.

1 Frostallion

A Chilling Battle

The hardest of all Alpha Boss battles in Palworld is Frostallion. It boasts a large HP stat that will take some time to chip through if you are not prepared enough. Additionally, several Ice-type Active Skills like Iceberg and Crystal Wing can destroy a shield in a few seconds while freezing you at the same time. Consider bringing a Fire-type Pal for this fight. Using a Pal like Blazamut alongside Rooby or Gobfin Ignis in the same party will burn Alpha Frostallion down in no time.
