Diablo 4 killer, has taken notes from previous ARPGs and added a loot filter.
This is just one of many changes that Path of Exile 2 has brought. Skill Gems have been largely reworked and offer builds more flexibility than ever. Combat has also been tuned to feel slower but with a more rewarding sense of difficulty. Bosses are a great example of this, throwing a large array of attacks at players, and focusing on proper dodge and attack periods to succeed.
The Best Loot Filter For Path Of Exile 2
A Clear Look At Rewards
The best loot filter for Path of Exile 2 has been created by NeverSinkDev (via GitHub). Though this can only be used on PC, it is a huge boon for players. The most noteworthy changes this filter makes are as follows:
- Hiding obsolete gear at higher levels
- Different label colors for different crafting currencies and gems
- Specific noise alerts when certain items drop
- Map icons to help find lost items/certain item objectives
Even with all these changes, and more, the filter still caters to all areas of the game. It will highlight anything with a socket or of higher quality, so players can collect it for later use when crafting gear in Path of Exile 2. It will also differentiate jewelry from regular equipment, so jewelry is less easily overlooked. Overall, this filter is an amazing quality-of-life addition to the game that still has plenty of features to come.
How To Install Loot Filters In Path of Exile 2
A Seamless Addition
Luckily, this filter is as easy to install as it is to use. First, the zip file from the GitHub page and have some kind of program to extract it. After that, the file that is labeled "NeverSinks Litefilter.filter" needs to be moved to a specific folder. For Windows s, this is the Path of Exile 2 folder in Documents/My Games. Meanwhile, Linux s will have to dig through the steamapps folder to find this same spot.
This process can be done with Path of Exile 2 closed or running.
After the extracted files are there, go into the game and open the Options to find the Game tab. The top of this page will have a filter setting with a dropdown box. Click this box and the NeverSink filter should appear if moved correctly. From there, the filter is active and ready to assist.

10 Biggest Differences Between Path of Exile 2 & The First Game
Path of Exile 2 has a lot of changes that make it stand apart from the first game, setting its aim for even greater heights than POE accomplished.
Though PoE 2's filter system in general is not as good as others, like Last Epoch, for example, just having one is a step in the right direction. It is also amazing that players can easily implement the creative hard work of their compatriots rather than struggle to make a filter themselves. This one just has everything players need to sort through the various items of the same overall look that are thrown their way. Its easy installation process and exhaustive features make it the best loot filter in Path of Exile 2.
