The Realmgate is a part of Path of Exile 2's endgame, giving those who find it access to pinnacle bosses in the game. These foes are the strongest opponents you could possibly face, giving anyone with endgame builds the challenge of a lifetime. However, you can't use the Realmgate until you understand where it shows up and how it functions.

Normally, map nodes are accessible through Waystones in Path of Exile 2 once you reach the endgame content. The Realmgate does not use Waystones though, as it has specific requirements you have to fulfill before you can face pinnacle bosses. Do not worry about farming Waystones to activate the Realmgate; simply see what its requirements are to start battles.

How To Find The Realmgate

Check The Starting Points Of Endgame Content

Once you beat the main game, you should find the Realmgate on the endgame Atlus map. The Realmgate will appear close to a starting point on this new map, which has several nodes leading to many familiar locations. Most of the time, the Realmgate shows up close to the Zigurrat Refuge, an area to the south where you begin your endgame adventures.

An easy way to make the Realmgate visible is to use your options while viewing the endgame Atlus map. You can press the home icon near the upper left corner of your screen while accessing the endgame map to refocus what you're looking at. This will adjust your Atlus image to reflect where its mapping started, putting the Realmgate in a spot where you can notice it.

The Atlus of Worlds that houses the Realmgate can only be accessed when you have finished all three story Acts on Cruel difficulty​​​​​​. The Map Device you use to view the Atlus is given to you after one of your characters accomplishes this feat.

Once you discover the Realmgate among the many nodes on your map, try to where it is for the future. The Realmgate is a small icon resembling an altar with blue light glowing from it when your cursor hovers over it. This can be easy to lose in the crowd of other endgame nodes, especially as you try to farm stat bonuses in Path of Exile 2 to face pinnacle bosses seen through the Realmgate.

How To Use The Realmgate

Meet Different Requirements To Challenge Deadly Bosses

When you find the Realmgate, you can fulfill its requirements to face one of four Pinnacle Bosses exclusive to Path of Exile 2's endgame. Each boss has its own rules for facing it, ranging from collecting enough of a rare item to talking to a specific NPC. These bosses are not to be confused with The Arbiter, another endgame boss who only appears within a Burning Monolith event.

As you can see, you need special items to activate the Realmgate to face any Pinnacle Boss. Whenever you get enough of the items needed to meet the Realmgate's requirements, you can click on it to see four item slots used as offerings. Place whatever items you collected for a boss into these slots, then select the "Traverse" option to travel to the Pinnacle battlefield where your challenge awaits.

Unlike the Trials of Skhemas in Path of Exile 2, you do not have to participate in other endgame events to access Pinnacle Bosses. Once you meet the Realmgate's requirements for a boss, you can challenge it immediately.

Only the strongest endgame builds in Path of Exile 2 can face some of the grueling battles offered by Pinnacle Bosses. Enduring the 15 waves of The Simulacrum or defeating someone like Xesht will take everything you have, so be prepared before traversing.

Pinnacle Bosses act like endgame events, with larger battles and even more hardships than you may expect. Once you understand how to find and use the Realmgate in Path of Exile 2, you should farm some top-tier equipment to be ready for its challenges.
