Path of Exile 2 is bustling with activity at the best of times. The sequel sets players on a six-act campaign (three of which are currently available in early access) that has become a test of abilities and enjoyment in the new experience. The Grinding Gear Games title also includes microtransactions and the ability to trade among other players, effectively creating a brutal market for some items. One of the most interesting items that has become a hot commodity within Path of Exile 2 is the White Stellar Amulet.
Trade chat in Path of Exile 2 is often full of requests for the White Stellar Amulet, which can sell for high prices even though it's a common-quality item. This can often be confusing, since their rarity doesn't seem to correlate to the usual asking price, upwards of 10 or 15 Exalted Orbs a piece. This willingness to pay high rates of the Path of Exile 2 currency must mean that an item is useful for different build styles or can be converted into something much more useful.
What Happens If You Sell White Stellar Amulets
They're Going For A High Price
Despite what it may seem, there are no negative consequences for selling White Stellar Amulets. These amulets can provide benefits like health, skill, or attribute boosts in POE2. The White Stellar Amulet is the lowest "quality" of the Stellar Amulets available, as they can be found in Blue or Yellow rarities as well, but this does not make them useless.
The game features many more currencies than just Exalted Orbs, each of which can be traded for another according to Path of Exile 2's currency exchange rates.
Stellar Amulets that are considered White in of normal rarity and have no other stat modifiers outside the base boost, but can be converted into the Astramentis Stellar Amulet. These can only be gained if players use an Orb of Chance on the White Stellar Amulets. This is why White Stellar Amulets are worth so much, and why they're worth more than any Stellar Amulets - even ones with higher rarities.
What Happens If You Use The Orb Of Chance
Upgrade Or Destroy Your Amulet
The Orb of Chance is a bit of a gamble and players who aren't quite ready to part with their sanity should be aware of the chance element of the item. Using an Orb of Chance either upgrades a Normal/White item to a Unique rarity or destroys it, so it might be a costly journey to try to get the Astramentis Stellar Amulet.
The stat boosts are worth the trouble, if players can successfully transmute their White Stellar Amulet to the Astramentis Stellar Amulet. The Astramentis Stellar Amulet grants players a heavy boost to all of their attributes while also making them take less physical damage from attacks. It does come down to personal preference of whether you want to go after Astramentis Stellar Amulets via this method, as it can also be obtained by farming different bosses and rare monsters.
Why You Should Use The Orb Of Chance
The Astramentis Is Worth The Risk
While the promise of massive amounts of money is appealing, the best way to make the most use of farming the White Stellar Amulets is to try your luck with the Orb of Chance. It isn't just that players have the chance to get a Unique Amulet in return, but the overinflation of a game's digital market never lasts as long as people think it will. Having an Astramentis Stellar Amulet will provide far more benefit and use in the game for longer than hoarding a stash of White Stellar Amulets will.
Players should ultimately make whatever choice suits their playstyle the best. In the case of the current astronomical prices for White Stellar Amulets, the inflated price won't last forever, and it will ultimately make it more worthwhile to have the Astramentis Stellar Amulet. Unless you truly want to try your luck and gamble to make more money, stick to the somewhat more feasible game of chance and use the White Stellar Amulets to obtain an Astramentis Stellar Amulet in Path of Exile 2.
