A new video from a Peacemaker is a big hit as the DCEU's first show, becoming the most in-demand streaming series in the world. The success can be attributed to Gunn's trademark style of balancing absurd characters, humor, and heart, which includes adding the unconventional alien creatures known as Butterflies as the series' main antagonists. The Butterflies are looking to overtake the human race using bodies as hosts, often through entering a human's mouth before attacking the brain, killing them in the process. Now, concept art from Peacemaker gives a more in-depth look at the show's peculiar and deadly aliens.
Concept artist Shane Baxley, who also worked on deg Starro for Gunn's The Suicide Squad, shared a new video on his Instagram that pans 360 degrees around the Butterfly creature, as well as additional images showing concept art for the Butterflies. The video is an intricate look at the detail that went into creating every feature of the alien creatures, including the bright red eyes that made it into the final edit of Peacemaker. Baxley adds that he was "brought in on the VFX side and basically set loose to create." Full post can be seen below:

Fans of the show will enjoy the insight into the creation of Peacemaker's Butterflies, and interestingly, Baxley teases a future look at the Cow. Episode 7 of Peacemaker concluded with the remaining of "Project Butterfly" heading to destroy the Cow, which is another giant alien creature but one that is the source of the Butterflies' honey-like liquid that essentially keeps them alive and fuels their planned takeover. Gunn's top-secret Peacemaker episode 8 promises to be an emotional finale and one that will surely be full of Butterflies and the Cow. But until next Thursday, fans can enjoy these extra detailed looks at Peacemaker's Butterflies.
