One of the new of Task Force X in DC Extended Universe. The latter has struggled a bit to connect with the audience, which has led Warner Bros. to make some big changes to its future projects, and among those movies from the new era of the DCEU is The Suicide Squad.
Back in 2016, viewers met the first version of the Task Force X team in David Ayer’s the standalone sequel The Suicide Squad, now directed by James Gunn, and in which Waller formed two Task Force X groups mostly with new villains, though she brought Captain Boomerang and Harley Quinn back along with Rick Flag (Joel Kinnaman). To the surprise of everyone, only the second team (or most of it, at least) survived the mission, and one of the is even getting his own miniseries, which could see the return of another member of the team.
All of the first Task Force X team, except for Flag and Harley Quinn, Peacemaker TV show.
As most of the first team died in the first minutes of The Suicide Squad, viewers didn’t get the chance to get to know them, their backstories, their powers, and more, and one of the most mysterious characters was Peacemaker’s former teammates in his TV series, the best option would actually be Weasel, that way the show can pay off The Suicide Squad’s mid-credits scene. Having Weasel in Peacemaker would also be interesting and funny to watch as Peacemaker has no idea Weasel even exists, so his reaction to this strange creature and their dynamic would be very fun to watch.
With the future of The Suicide Squad unknown as no sequel has been announced and James Gunn will go back to work with Marvel Studios in the near future, Weasel appearing in Peacemaker is not only the best but the only way for Warner to pay off the movie’s mid-credits scene. Just like The Suicide Squad, Peacemaker will surely be full of surprises and a lot of humor, and Weasel would be a great addition to the mix.
