Rebecca Ferguson's character in the Peaky Blinders movie, which follows Murphy's Tommy Shelby during World War II, has added a number of newcomers to the cast, including Ferguson, Barry Keoghan, and Tim Roth, among others, with most new characters remaining shrouded in mystery.
New set images shared by @cravemedia_ on X, formerly Twitter, now provide a new look at Murphy as Tommy and a first glimpse at Ferguson's mystery character in the Peaky Blinders movie. The images feature Tommy covered in mud and blood standing next to Ferguson on a cobblestone street.
The two actors look to be captured in a break between scenes, with one showing the two smiling and laughing together, while the other seems to show them in the midst of a conversation. Ferguson wears a long black coat in the images and also sports long black hair, a dperature from some of her other movie looks. Check out the images at the link below:

What The Peaky Blinders Set Images Mean For The Movie's Story
Ferguson's Character Might Be Officially Unveiled Soon
So far, no details have been revealed about the movie's story beyond its World War 2 setting. This setting means the film takes place at least six years after the end of Peaky Blinders season 6. The name of Ferguson's character has not yet been revealed, but the images could suggest that she will end up being an ally to Tommy rather than an enemy.

Peaky Blinders' Movie Is Continuing A Cillian Murphy Trend That Defined Two Of His Best Movies
Cillian Murphy is set to star in the Peaky Blinders movie, which is following in the footsteps of two of the actor's best movies.
The Peaky Blinders season 6 finale features Tommy and Lizzie (Natasha O'Keeffe) going their separate ways, and it's entirely possible that Ferguson's unnamed character will serve as a new love interest, in addition to whatever her larger role in the story is. Plus, Ferguson's recent roles in movies like Dune: Part Two and Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning suggest her character will end up featuring prominently in the story. A first-look image of Keoghan in the Peaky Blinders cast was released last week, meaning it's possible another such image will be released soon of Ferguson's character.
Actors from the Peaky Blinders show who are expected to return in the film include: Sophie Rundle as Ada Shelby-Thorne, Ned Dennehy as Charlie Strong, Packy Lee as Johnny Dogs, and Stephen Graham as Hayden Stagg.
Our Take On Murphy & Ferguson In The Peaky Blinders Movie Set Images
Murphy & Ferguson Could Be A Powerful Combination
Ferguson has established herself as one of the most talented actors working in Hollywood today, and she will likely end up being a fantastic scene partner for Murphy, who won an Oscar last year for his work in Oppenheimer. Murphy's appearance in the images certainly suggests that the movie won't be short on action, and Ferguson has a proven background in this genre with the Mission: Impossible franchise. Many questions remain about the Peaky Blinders movie, but the film is certainly shaping up to be an exciting continuation of Tommy's story.
