Actor The Last Of Us. Even before he stepped into the iconic roles of Din Djarin and Joel Miller, Pascal already had an impressive acting record under his belt. Previously, he'd played the titular supervillain, Maxwell Lord, in the DCEU and instantly became a Game of Thrones fan favorite, appearing as Oberyn Martell in the show's fourth season.

Pedro Pascal is one the hottest stars in Hollywood right now in no small part due to his natural charm. But what also helped improve his rise to stardom was the variety in each of his acting roles. Although he didn't feature as the main character in every project he's been in so far, Pascal's versatility allowed him to play heroes, villains, and even antiheroes. Pedro has often times put a tremendous amount of heart and effort into his performances, making the characters he plays feel very believable and multidimensional. That said, his year looks to be off to a great start, and it can only get better from here.

Pedro Pascal playing Joel Miller in The Last Of Us proved to work wonders in the show's first episode alone. HBO's live-action adaptation of the critically-acclaimed video game by Naughty Dog premiered on January 15th, 2023, drawing in an estimated audience of 4.7 million U.S. viewers. This figure alone made history as The Last Of Us' premiere became the second-largest opening for an HBO show since the American drama series, Boardwalk Empire, was released on the cable channel back in 2010. One of the biggest reasons for the success of the show's opening debut came down to Pedro Pascal's realistic acting and care for what happened originally in the game.

Following the historic achievement of HBO's The Last Of Us, Pedro Pascal's leading role as the Mandalorian was rejuvenated with a brand new, high-profile trailer for the show's third season being released just a day later. The Mandalorian's second season was well-received and was one of Pascal's strongest performances, most notably when he was able to effectively play two characters after removing his helmet as Din Djarin. Season 3 looks even more promising as it appears Djarin will grow even further. Both The Mandalorian and The Last Of Us will overlap briefly in March during their runtime, which will undoubtedly make Pedro Pascal the King of TV throughout the first half of 2023.
