In Persona 3 Reload, Theurgy Attacks are another way to damage enemies, but they will only be unlocked after Fuuka s the team. There are only seven different Theurgy Attacks available for the protagonist, but each party member will also unlock their own specialized Theurgy Attacks.

Each of the protagonist's Theurgy Attacks requires two specific Persona 3 Reload that team up to perform a special attack. While there were significantly more Theurgy Attacks, or Fusion Skills, in Persona 3 Portable, many were removed from the original game as part of the changes for Persona 3 Reload. However, the ones that remain are worth unlocking.

How To Unlock All Protagonist Theurgy Attacks In Persona 3 Reload

Unlocking & What Personas Can Use Them

These Fusion Skill attacks depend solely on the protagonist's equipped Personas in Persona 3 Reload. Even if a Theurgy Attack has been unlocked previously, it can only be used if you are currently equipped with both of the required Personas for that attack. Therefore, players will only be able to have access to some Theurgy at some times and should instead decide on the ones that are most beneficial to them.

Many of the required Personas have extensive requirements to unlock them, so it's important to ensure you max out the right Social Links to access the Theurgy Attack you desire. Though it can be a lot of work, some of these attacks, like Armageddon, are capable of taking out enemies like the Reaper in one shot and can be very valuable during the final boss fights; however, some of them do come with a steep cost, so read carefully before initiating the attack.

While party have their own methods for charging their Theurgy Meter, the protagonist charges theirs by swapping to a new Persona and using one of its skills. Note that on some of the higher Tartarus Floors in Persona 3 Reload, there will also be Cups cards that can be obtained and will charge the meter either halfway or fully.

All Versions & How To Charge Them

Flanked by her Persona, Yukari lines up a shot with her bow in a screenshot from Persona 3 Reload.

Most party in Persona 3 Reload acquire two Theurgy Attacks. The first will unlock shortly after Theurgy Attacks become available, and the second will unlock only after unlocking that party member's Ultimate Persona later in the game. A couple of exceptions to this rule include Koromaru, who only has one Persona but still receives two Theurgies, and Shinjiro, who will only ever receive one Theurgy Attack.

How To Charge The Theurgy Meter For Every Party Member

Notably, charging the Theurgy Meter is different for every party member, and you should keep this in mind as you consider which ones to use in various situations.

Notably, as you can see in the table below, sometimes the effects can have a negative consequence, such as Aigis' Palladion effect, which means you cannot control her on the following turns. You can also see that some are buffs and some deal damage, so pay attention to what effect you are getting and if it will benefit you earlier rather than later. A buff should be used earlier in a fight so that the damage will hit harder.

There are a number of new Theurgy Attacks for use in the Episode Aigis DLC. This gives her the Wild Card Ability, which allows you to switch between Personas at will, with her own new list of Theurgy Skills. It is different from the base game, and Metis will also gain some new and different abilities as well. You can see these new attacks in action in YouTuber Faz's video.

You will be able to use these throughout the DLC, and it will likely take time to get used to these new attacks as it did to get used to the original ones. Metis will use something similar to the original Orgia Mode that Aigis used in the base game, and she will also be uncontrollable, just like Aigis did.

How & When To Use Theurgy Attacks During Fights

Aigis using a Theurgy Attack in Persona 3 Reload

One thing to keep in mind when using Theurgies is that enemy affinities still come into play, so something extra weak to Light Damage would take even more from Ken's Nemesis Theurgy. Additionally, if a character gets knocked out, the Theurgy Meter will be half of what it was before when that character comes back.

In general, Theurgy Attacks may change what party you include for certain battles and which you do not. If you find a boss that a certain member cannot otherwise damage, you can use moves that charge your Theurgy before using it to get past an enemy's resistance. This can let you do many different moves and combos depending on who you bring into battle with you.

How To Charge The Theurgy Meter Fast

To charge your Theurgy Meter faster, beyond just the special moves each member has, you can do several other things. One, you can swap your active Persona in order to give a boost to your protagonist. This allows you to get the boost, and you can always swap back if you prefer those moves and items. Arcana Card shuffling can also boost your Theurgy Meter.

Additionally, some of the bosses in the Aigis DLC require you to use certain Theurgy moves to beat. The game fairly well telegraphs this, as you receive the new powers right before facing them. This can make it a bit easier and a bit harder to beat, but by the time you reach the DLC, you should have your Theurgy moving well in hand in Persona 3 Reload.
