Nintendo has released a trailer for ports from the Wii U, which many customers consider a failed console.
Despite the console itself being a failure, many Nintendo fans agree that it had some excellent games, and the success of these Switch ports is solid proof. it did resurface recently.
In preparation for this latest port, Nintendo has released a new trailer on a sort of nature documentary, or even a tourism guide, but it's very obvious where the presenter's thoughts actually lie. The viewer is constantly encouraged to collect a lot of Pikmin, and assured that doing so will make exploring the world of Pikmin 3 Deluxe "much nicer." Watch the trailer below.
Fans hoping for an in-depth look at the biology and anatomy of Nintendo's tiny plant minions will likely be disappointed by this trailer, though frankly, a deep dive like that was never that likely. While the trailer does define Pikmin as small and plant-like, it's much more concerned with the actual gameplay. That is, of course, fully understandable from a video game trailer, and in that respect, this trailer performs irably. It gives players a very good idea of what to expect from the game, even if they missed the original back in 2013.
Pikmin has always been one of Nintendo's least prominent franchises. The 2013 release of Pikmin 3 was the first sign of life from the series since 2004, and prior to this enhanced port, the only Pikmin game fans have had in the intervening seven years was Hey! Pikmin, a 2017 spinoff which received middling reviews from most publications. The reappearance of Pikmin 3 Deluxe and this trailer's obvious adoration for the game's denizens is a good sign that Nintendo isn't ready to put the series away for good.
