Screen Rant is proud to present an exclusive deleted scene from the holiday comedy classic Planes, Trains And Automobiles. The acclaimed comedy will be released on 4K Ultra HD for the first time ever to celebrate its 35th anniversary, with over an hour of never-before-seen footage and legacy bonus content. Planes, Trains And Automobiles has also been newly remastered in 4K Ultra HD with Dolby Vision™ HDR-10. After 35 years, there is still more of this hilarious story to discover with tons of new content on 4K Ultra HD. Planes, Trains And Automobiles stars Steve Martin as Neal Page, an uptight marketing executive, and John Candy as Del Griffith, a kind-hearted yet irritating salesman. The movie follows the unlikely pair on a three-day cross-country quest to do whatever it takes to get Neal home to his family for Thanksgiving.

More About Planes, Trains, And Automobiles

Neal and Del, their fingers stuck to the dashboard in Planes, Trains and Automobiles

Screen Rant's exclusive deleted scene, "Edelen's Braidwood Inn," proves Neal (Martin) and Del (Candy) couldn't find a moment of peace on their trip. Neal eats but clearly does not enjoy a slice of pizza, while Del watches his traveling companion grimace. Offering him a beer, which Neal complains is warm, the pair are sprayed in the face after opening the can. This results in a hilariously chaotic scramble to clean up the mess by Neal as Del desperately tries to find something to wipe off his face after the beer temporarily blinds him.

Planes, Trains And Automobiles showed filmmaker John Hughes branch out beyond his usual teen comedies. Martin and Candy were also praised for their performances, bringing a ton of comedy and heart to each of their roles. The Planes, Trains And Automobiles 4K Ultra HD includes a bonus "Lost Luggage" Blu-ray Disc with over an hour of never-before-seen bonus content, including deleted and extended scenes recently discovered in Hughes' archives.

This new footage not only features yet-to-be-seen hilarity between Martin and Candy but also a new look behind the curtain of the filmmaking process. The Blu-ray disc also includes Dylan Baker's original audition for the character Owen. This is a perfect addition to any collection with the 4K Ultra HD disc, which includes the feature film, access to a digital copy, and the following legacy bonus content.
