'Tis the season for celebration, time with family, gifts, and gaming, and PlayStation has the cards to commemorate the season. For players who have a fellow gamer in their life that they want to give a gift to, or just send a card to let them know they're thinking of them, PlayStation has revealed a collection of cards from franchises like Ratchet & Clank to Mortal Kombat to Grand Turismo.
Approaching the end of 2021, PlayStation continues to have an up-and-down year. While 2021 has featured some of the best PlayStation games in the console's history like Returnal, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, and Deathloop, there have been issues as well. Continued supply-chains have made finding the newest version of the console, the PlayStation 5, nearly impossible a year after launch. Gamers everywhere have been frustrated at the lack of new games on the horizon, the shuttering of some beloved features such as the Communities in PlayStation 4, and continued battles over exclusives. Still, that hasn't stopped Sony from celebrating the holiday spirit with some help from some of their dear friends.
Shared on the famous PlayStation characters in gaming, such as Kratos, Sub-Zero, Lara Croft, and many more. The cards are not only a great gift for the fellow gamer in someone's life but also a show of appreciation from Sony and those studios for all the players who have ed them.
2022 is still promising to be one of tremendous opportunity for Sony. There are many highly-anticipated PlayStation exclusives that will be dropping in the new year, including Horizon Zero Dawn, Gran Turismo 7, and God of War: Ragnarok among others. Gamers will certainly be hopeful to get their hands on one of these new releases, assuming they've already managed to procure a PlayStation 5 first.
With the continued supply chain issues, more and more players are engaged in the idea of loosening console exclusives and porting games to new systems. Sony and PlayStation have already taken an aggressive approach with regards to porting PlayStation games over to PC, a trend that many hope will continue in 2022. Some also hope that there will be more relaxed agreements between gaming titans Sony and Microsoft to allow more games to be shared between the consoles. For now, PlayStation fans can take solace in the games in their library and these fun holiday cards.
