This year brought the return of E3, but new PlayStation VR reveal ahead of the event, but there are plenty of games players have been expecting to appear at the Showcase.
It was almost exactly a year ago the PlayStation 5 was officially revealed and given a launch date at the last PlayStation Showcase, and now Sony has been teasing a look into the future of the gaming brand. Deathloop is right around the corner, as well as Death Stranding Director's Cut closer to the end of the month. Horizon Forbidden West has recently received its release date for February, but many have been expecting the re-emergence of other big-time exclusives like the God of War sequel and Gran Turismo 7.
The ongoing chip shortage has kept the PS5 out of the hands of many looking to enter the next generation, but that hasn't stopped Sony from promoting its new hardware. The Showcase has been billed as a look into the future of the PS5, even though many exclusives are still launching cross-generationally, even over a year after the PS5 launch.
