It's time for the PlayStation State of Play in February 2025, which means more gaming news, exciting reveals, and some great updates for players on PS5. The event included a few new reveals, lots of new gameplay and trailers, and one game that's dropping today, Feb 13. While players may not have gotten Bloodborne news, there were a lot of other exciting things to see.

There were a lot of predictions for today's State of Play, but many were surprised by some of the reveals that appeared during the show. While plenty were hoping for updates on games like Naughty Dog's Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, others were hoping for Marvel's Wolverine. While fans of these two may be disappointed to hear neither appeared, there were big updates for several games. There were several remasters shown, including one that had only been speculated about before with the Days Gone Remaster. Players will be able to update their old version to this one on PS5 for $10 USD when it releases this April. There was also a new trailer and release date for Borderlands 4, which hadn't seen much before today. It will also be getting its own State of Play this spring, where more gameplay and details will be announced.

For indie horror fans, there is a new look at Five Nights At Freddy's: Secret Of The Mimic, as well as a June release date. In a franchise where release dates aren't often given, this was a pleasant surprise. Fans were also treated to official announcements for the Lies of P: Overture DLC, the Stellar Blade: Goddess of Victory Nikke DLC, and the Dave the Diver DLC, which is a crossover with the Like A Dragon: Pirate Yakuza In Hawaii game.

Warriors: Abyss was announced and will be a surprise drop later today as a new entry in the franchise. Players can jump on it today, which was perhaps the biggest announcement of the day. However, Directive 2080, the new Supermassive Games' entry that was teased at the end of the last game also got a new trailer. Saros was the last announcement of the day, which is a new entry for the developers of Returnal and will be dropping in 2026.

There are a lot of games covered in today's State of Play, with a wide range of various updates and announcements. There were many release dates announced, as well as a host of new gameplay and several new games revealed, particularly toward the end. While God of War and Bloodborne were absent (despite rumors), there was a wide variety of games, DLC, and remasters to keep players occupied in the meantime.
