A Pokémon Home Pokédex storage service which allows players to save their Pokémon from every Generation in one place. The cloud-based app inspired fans of the Game Freak series to try to catch every single Pokémon ever created in order to fill out the Pokémon Home Pokédex, and it's become a popular challenge for content creators and streamers.

In the Gen 1 Pokémon Red and Blue RPGs, players are tasked by Professor Oak with catching all 151 Pokémon in the Kanto region. Keen players have spent every subsequent Generation interested in completing each region's Pokédex. Many players have taken this challenge a step further by maintaining a living Pokédex of every Pokémon that has ever been released. This feat is no easy task though, as the Pokémon series now has over 905 creatures as of the debut of Legends: Arceus Hisuian Pokémon in January.

Pokémon YouTuber Johnstone impressed fans on Twitter after managing to complete a living Pokédex in a single stream. In a video posted to social media, the content creator explained that they had run a non-stop stream for ten days in order to complete the incredibly difficult challenge. Sharing a clip on Twitter, Johnstone scrolls through their Pokémon Home  to show off all 905 Pokémon from every single Generation. More from the content creator and their impressive Pokémon journeys can be found on their YouTube channel, Johnstone.

The YouTuber used games like Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, as well as Pokémon Sword and Shield's Crown Tundra DLC in order to catch Mythical Pokémon that had previously been locked behind special events. Making the accomplishment all the more impressive, is that the Pokémon fan had actually started from scratch during the stream and created new save files for every single generation. After ten days of continuous streaming, Johnstone finally managed to secure all 905 Pokémon needed to reach the goal.

Pokémon fans looking to complete and maintain a living Pokédex are in for a challenge, as the series' National Pokédex gets bigger every time there is a new Generation released. With such a large selection of creatures in the roster, it's perhaps no wonder that Johnstone's achievement has been met with such praise across social media. With Gen 9 Pokémon Scarlet and Violet's release date set for this November, there will be many new Pokémon that Trainers will need to catch in order to complete the new version of the living Pokédex.
