The Crown Tundra is only a few days away from release and will mark the return of many fan-favorite Pokémon. Legendary Pokémon from previous generations and even a few new ones. Unfortunately, it seems there are some Pokémon that didn't make it onto The Crown Tundra DLC.

There have been about 80 Pokémon confirmed to be added in The Crown Tundra. Adding that to the 400 Pokémon that originally appeared in Sword & Shield, along with the 211 that came in the Isle of Armor DLC, and the total number of Pokémon in the game is still short of the 890 Pokémon total that is now in existence. So who are these Pokémon that unfortunately didn't make the cut? Thanks to data miners, fans already have an idea.

While none of this information is official or has been confirmed, it is based heavily on what data miners have been able to find as well as which Pokémon have appeared in trailers. In total, there are 240 Pokémon that potentially may not be The Crown Tundra. By generation, there's 34 Pokémon missing from the first generation, plus seven addition forms, 44 from the second, 49 from the third, 44 from the fourth, 31 from the fifth, 21 from the sixth, and eleven from the seventh generation.

Again, this is an unofficial list, originally aggregated from various sources and listed on third DLC for Sword & Shield may eventually be announced. There are some very popular Pokémon that still aren't in Sword & Shield yet, like Pidgeot, Typhlosion, and Greninja, so Game Freak may be saving them for later.

What might be most interesting about the Pokémon that won't appear in The Crown Tundra is their breakdown by generation. There is a much larger amount of Pokémon missing from the second, third, and fourth generations, as opposed to any other. This has led some to theorize that Game Freak could be holding these Pokémon out of the DLC for the potential Diamond & Pearl remastered games many fans have long been hoping for. Fans will only have to wait a few more days to see which Pokémon officially didn't make the cut and what might be coming next from Game Freak.
