Last week, Reddit u/papabeard88 posted images of Pokémon Diamond and Pearl locations that they recreated in Unreal Engine to the r/Pokémon subreddit. These consist of Twinleaf Town (aka the home of the game’s player character) and multiple angles of the Route 201 road that connects it to Sandgem Town, where the player can purchase their first Poké Balls for the journey ahead. In the meantime, seeing the starting locations of Pokémon Diamond and Pearl rendered in Unreal Engine is a treat for players hoping for a 3D remaster of the beloved DS installment in the near future. The lush green wilderness and sunny atmosphere of Twinleaf Town and Route 201 are recreated beautifully, serving as an enticing first step in the player's journey to becoming a Pokémon Master. Fans just might be able to experience that journey all over again if the Nintendo DS remake rumors prove true later this year.
