With the latest round of Niantic's Pokémon GO Community Days are typically once-a-month events where a specific Pokémon is featured. The featured Pokémon appears more frequently within a particular timeframe in each time zone. Community Days also feature more gameplay bonuses like Stardust and XP.

Pokémon GO Community Days started in 2018, with the first Pokémon featured being Pikachu. From April 25, 2020, to March 13, 2022, Niantic changed the name of the event to Pokémon GO Community Day: Play at Home Edition due to the COVID-19 pandemic, which allowed players to still partake in Community Days from the safety of their own home. Starting in January 2022, a second event called Community Day Classics has taken place once every three months.
