A new season is here in Pokémon GO as Delightful Days is set to take over the summer. Seasons are a huge deal in Pokémon GO, determining months-long bonuses, spawns, eggs and much more. While there are always events and activities taking place in Pokémon GO, the summer is the most notable for its big events, and Delightful Days sets the tone for this with a host of changes.

The previous season, Mythical Mastery, is now done and there are lots of exciting features promised for Delightful Days. Trainers don't need to do anything to participate, but the majority of day-to-day features will be different from the start of the new season. Here is everything we know about the new season in Pokémon GO.

As is the case with all the seasons in Pokémon GO, Delightful Days will last several months. While the regular weekly events will occur and change some of the spawns, raids and eggs available, a number of features will remain throughout the season. This includes events such as the recent Final Strike: Battle Week, which debuted several new Pokémon.

Following on from Mighty Mastery, Delightful Days will run for three months. It will start on Tuesday, June 3, 2025 at 10am local time, until Tuesday, September 2, 2025 local time. The length of the season gives you plenty of opportunities to catch or hatch the themed Pokémon that will be featured during the new season.

There are a variety of general bonuses and rewards for all players across the season, which come without having to buy tickets. All players will receive one additional special trade per day. Everyone's first catch of the day will also grant increased XP, which can help you towards gaining another in-game level in Pokémon GO. With the change in spawns, players should be using Incense during the new season and the Daily Adventure Incense time will be doubled each day.

During this season, the biggest event of the Pokémon GO calendar is set to take place as Pokémon GO Fest will take place on 28 and 29 June 2025.

Several other features are set to return for the Delightful Days season. This includes Eggs-pedition Access, which is set to take place each month, providing bonuses, research and additional incubators for trainers. The recently introduced GO will reset for the new season, giving everyone the opportunities to earn even more in-game rewards.

Another recently introduced feature into Pokémon GO, the RSVP Planner, will receive further updates throughout the season, including the ability for it to be used in Gigantamax Battles. This feature has allowed trainers to pick a time to book a slot for Raid Battles before they start. GO Battle League, PokeStop Showcases and a new set of Research Breakthroughs are also all set to return with new twists for the Delightful Days.

All Pokémon Debuts & Wild Spawns During Delightful Days Season

Pokémon Debuts Coming But Unconfirmed

While no specific debuts have been confirmed, Pokémon GO has stated that Pokémon discovered in the Paldea, Galar and Hisui regions are coming to Pokémon GO throughout the season. All have had some Pokémon released but not all, with only 7 Hisui based Pokémon so far available for any trainers in Pokémon GO. While we don't know which Pokémon will be included, it opens up the possibilities for these Pokédex generations to move towards completion during the season.

Further Dynamax and Gigantamax Pokémon have also been confirmed with more to come. The three confirmed so far are Gigantamax Cinderace, Gigantamax Inteleon and Dynamax Hatenna.

Wild Spawns based on location in the real world and different types of areas have also been confirmed for during the season. Some are easier to locate than others, depending on where you live. But all trainers will fall into either the Northern or Southern Hemisphere and have certain additional spawns for them throughout the season.

The 7km eggs are earned differently, by either Gift Exchanges or through completing Routes if you have space when you complete either of these two tasks.

Each Monday you are awarded an egg based on how far you have walked the previous week. The Pokémon that are available to hatch in these are traditionally harder to find than those in normal eggs.

In addition, you can also receive the even rarer Red 12km eggs. These can only be obtained by defeating one of the Team GO Rocket Leaders Sierra, Arlo or Cliff. However, currently it has not been confirmed if these will be updated for the new season or not. The new Delightful Days season is bringing with it a host of changes and rewards for trainers that you should take full advantage of over the next three months this summer in Pokémon GO.
