Wooloo is one of the next Pokemon to the roster of skip over the Alola region, but it was a pleasant curveball for many. Wooloo is one of the first batches of Pokemon to the roster from Galar.

Wooloo is one of those Pokemon players will encounter early on their adventure. Similar to Pokemon like Rattata and Sentret, these Pokemon are here to introduce the player into this wild new world. They typically get dumped off once players find more interesting and powerful Pokemon down the line. The Pokemon Wooloo is special since it rolls adorably like a ball. It became a fan-favorite for the Galar region instantly, and now players will be able to find one in Pokemon Go.

How To Find (& Catch) Wooloo in Pokemon Go

Wooloo crying in Pokémon Sword and Shield

Wooloo will be added to Pokemon Go during the Ultra Unlock Part 3: Sword and Shield event. This begins on Friday, August 20th at 10 am local time. Here are all the different ways players can encounter it.

  • In The Wild: Wooloo will be made pretty common when it is added to the game. Players should have no problem encountering this Pokemon naturally. Although if players are struggling, they can use an Incense or Lure Module to increase the total spawn rate of all Pokemon in the area.
  • Field Research: It is confirmed that Wooloo will be made as an encounter reward for completing a specific Field Research task.

Wooloo will only make its debut in its natural form, with its Shiny form being added at a later date. Evolving it shouldn't be too difficult either, and will likely need 50 Candy to reach its final form. It will be interesting to see how they handle the Alola region now that Galar has stepped forward into the limelight.
