Ahead of the Pokémon GO Wild area event this weekend, players get another event to warm up with Into The Wild. The event runs from November 18, 2024, at 12:00 AM Local Time until Friday, November 22, 2024, at 11:59 PM Local Time. It focuses on Poison- and Electric-type Pokémon, featuring bonuses and rewards through nearly every aspect of Pokémon GO. Lots of content is available for all players, but the event also has additional activities that trainers can pay for by buying event tickets.

The event sees the debut of Toxel, which can be found in 10KM eggs, along with its evolved form, Toxtricity. It also features a host of increased spawns for both Poison- and Electic-type Pokémon across the week, with the majority also being available in their shiny form. However, several research tasks and collection challenges can provide great rewards for trainers throughout the week. While players are debating if is still worth playing, there is much in the Into The Wild Event to bring players back.

7 Research Tasks Available To Complete

Into The Wild is a much bigger event than the recent Simply Groundbreaking in Pokémon GO, but as is common during all events, there is a set of field research tasks that all players can complete. These can be found by spinning Pokestops or Gyms when you are close enough to one. Each time you spin one, a new field research task is added, as long as you have space in your research tasks list. In total, there are seven different field research tasks to be found, each with different rewards.

You can complete as many Field Research Tasks as you want during the Into The Wild event.

The rewards largely focus on the debut of Toxel and opportunities to receive more candies for it. There are seven different research tasks, which require you to complete various challenges involving catching so many Electric- or Poison-type Pokémon, hatching eggs, battling in raids, or powering up your Pokémon. Six of the seven will reward you with either Toxel Candy or XL Candy, meaning you should attempt to do these as often as you can.

Further Paid Timed Research Tasks

The Into The Wild Event also features two separate paid timed research. All players can buy one or even both in a bundle if they wish to take full advantage of the rewards. Each one offers daily timed research, with three tasks required to complete them. These rewards have more opportunities to add Toxel Candies. Lugia is no longer available in 5-star raids in Pokémon GO, but Nihilego, Tapu Koko, Origin Forme Dialga, and Origin Forme Palkia are during the event.

Toxel requires 400 candies to evolve into Toxtricity.

The two paid research lines differ in the types of tasks they offer. The first is designed for players who complete a lot of raids. The timed research released so far is to catch 10 Pokémon to earn 1000 Stardust, Spin 3 PokeStops or Gyms to receive 20 Poke Balls, and Battle in a raid for 1000 XP. Completing these three challenges in one day earns you a bonus of one Toxel XL candy, three normal candies, and 1000 Stardust.

Harvest Festival 2024 provides an increase in rare spawns in Pokémon GO, as well as bringing the debut of Shiny Smoliv and its evolution line.

In addition, you receive several bonuses: 5000 XP from completing raids, an additional candy for Pokémon caught in five-star raids, and an additional raid for spinning gyms every day of the event.

All Into The Wild: Hatch Timed Research Tasks & Rewards

Timed Research On The Go

A bunch of Egg Incubators in Pokemon GO

If players don't regularly compete in raids, the paid Into the Wild: Hatch timed research might be your better choice. It works exactly the same, with three tasks being given each day. On the event's opening day, these were: Catch 10 Pokémon for 1000 Stardust, Spin 3 Pokestops or Gyms for 20 Pokeballs, and Explore 1 KM for 1000 XP.

The Hatch Timed Research offers much more value in rewards if you are only planning to buy one of the two options.

The overall differences across the week are based around hatching eggs. So, if you are a player that is always on the go, you could earn more rewards. The full bonuses include 2X Hatch XP, 2X Hatch Candy, 2X Hatch Stardust, half Hatch Distances, a daily single-use Incubator, which can be collected by spinning a PokeStop, and an increased chance of hatching Towel from 10km eggs.

All Into The Wild Collection Challenges & Rewards

Two Collection Challenges For All Trainers To Complete

On top of the research tasks, two collection challenges are available for all players to complete. Each collection requires you to catch six Pokémon during the Into The Wild event in Pokémon GO. Thankfully, all of the Pokémon required have boosted spawn rates during the event.

The Into The Wild Poison collection challenge requires you to catch Bellsprout, Gastly, Galpin, Roselia, Foongus, and Stunky. Your rewards for doing so are 500 Stardust, 3 Pinap Berries, and a chance to catch Haunter. For the Into The Wild Electric collection challenge, you need to catch Magnemite, Mareep, Emolga, Togedemaru, Dedenne, and Grubbin. Your rewards will again be 500 Stardust, 3 Pinap Berries, and a chance to catch Flaaffy.

During this week's Into The Wild event in Pokémon GO, players can grab a host of bonuses, including research tasks and collection challenges, making the game a must-play for all trainers.
