Now that the level cap in Pokémon GO has been raised, players around the globe are trying to attain the top level for themselves. However, grinding up from level 40 to 50 is a lot harder than it might sound, which is why few people have managed to reach level 50 so far.
Last week, FleeceKing became the first person to get level 50 in Pokémon Go in the world. This was about a month after an update raised the level cap from 40 to 50, perhaps highlighting just how challenging it is to get to level 50 in the game. In addition to requiring an unbelievable amount of XP (players need 30 million to get from level 49 to 50), there are also tasks that can make reaching the highest level in Pokémon Go very difficult.
The tasks from level 40 to level 50 are extremely time-consuming. Some of the tasks include evolving every form of Eevee (level 42); winning thirty Trainer Battles each in Great, Ultra, and Master Leagues (level 44); and winning thirty raids using a team of all unique Pokémon species (level 47). These aren't even the only tasks included with those levels, further illustrating just how difficult reaching level 50 can be in Pokémon Go. Even after getting through the various tasks and XP requirements, leveling from 49 to 50 can be especially hard.
Every Task To Get From Level 49 To Level 50 In Pokémon Go
In order to attain level 50, players must first complete a list of tasks at level 49 and achieve 30 million experience. This is no easy feat, and it's going to take a lot of time. Even individually, the tasks are pretty overwhelming. Players must defeat a Team Go Rocket leader three times by only using Pokémon with 2,500 or less. They also have to achieve Rank 10 in Go Battle League.
In addition to completing these tasks, players must also get 999 Excellent throws and catch at least one Legendary Pokémon in the next five Legendary Pokémon encounters. If they manage to complete all four of these tasks and get the necessary 30 million XP, then they'll attain level 50 in Pokémon Go. Doing this requires a lot of time and effort, which is why it's so hard to actually reach the highest level.
Pokémon Go will surely get updates in the future that raises the level cap even higher. However, it may be a year or so before this happens - based on the way level caps are usually raised in the game. So, there's plenty of time for players to get to level 50 right now. Even so, reaching level 50 in Pokémon Go is really hard, so attaining it will quite the accomplishment.
