Pokémon GO Mega Raid Bosses In July 2024

One Of The Best Water-Type Attackers Is Returning

Mega Swampert flexing its muscles in Pokemon GO

There are three Mega Raid Bosses you can take on throughout July. First up is Mega Tyranitar, which is one of the best Dark-type attackers and Rock-type attackers in the game. It's a good idea to have one trained up for each purpose if possible. Second is Mega Swampert, which is an excellent Mega-Evolution to have under your belt if you're lacking in Water-type attackers.

Finally, the Steel-type Mega Aggron will round the month out. Unlike the other Mega-Evolutions appearing in July, Mega Aggron doesn't really excel at anything in Pokémon GO, so don't feel the need to farm Mega Energy if you don't want to. You can see all of the Mega Raid Bosses and their weaknesses in the table below.

Pokémon GO Shadow Raid Bosses In July 2024

Entei standing on a cliff edge in Pokemon GO

Every weekend during July, Trainers will be able to battle Shadow Entei in special Shadow Raid Battles. This isn't the first time Shadow Entei has appeared in Pokémon GO, but it's another chance to catch one if you missed out before - or if you just want to add another to your collection. It's weak to Ground, Rock, and Water-type attacks, so focus on those where possible.

This fan-favorite Legendary Pokémon originated in Gen 2's Johto region, and its design is based on a lion, despite often being referred to as a Legendary dog. Entei isn't very useful in its regular form in Pokémon GO, but Shadow Entei is an excellent Fire-type attacker in Raids, so it's worth adding one to your team if you can.

to use Purified Gems to help take down Shadow Raid Bosses. You can craft these by defeating of Team GO Rocket and collecting Shadow Shards as rewards.
