When choosing the best Ghost-type Pokémon in Pokémon GO, there are several important things to consider beyond just looks or personal favorites. While a Pokémon's Combat Power gives a general idea of its strength, it's essential to look at its specific stats, like Attack, Defense, and Stamina. High Attack helps a Pokémon deal damage quickly, while good Defense and Stamina help it last longer in battles.

It's important to research effective moves for each Pokémon, looking for a balance between DPS and how quickly it can build up energy for powerful attacks. Some strong Ghost-types are hard to find or only available during special events, affecting how easily you can strengthen them. However, finding the right Ghost-types can be much more rewarding than finding the best Bug-types.

10 Spiritomb May Be Last, But It's Crazy Strong

Don't Let Its Placement Fool You

Spiritomb may not be one of the best Ghost-type Pokémon in Pokémon GO, but its interesting design and some strategic advantages make it a decent choice. Its moves and stats aren't as strong as those of other Ghost-types, but it’s still strong overall. Spiritomb does well in foggy weather, especially with its best moves, Shadow Ball and Feint Attack. However, it struggles against Fairy-types and is fairly comparable to Dusknoir.

While other Ghost-types like Giratina and Gengar have higher Combat Power, DPS, and Total Damage Output, that doesn't mean you should overlook Spiritomb. Its unique type and availability can give it a special role in certain situations. If you use the right strategy and have good weather, Spiritomb can be effective. It might not be a top choice, but it can still be a valuable part of your Ghost-type team, especially if you like the spooky look.

More Than For Riding

Spectrier is a powerful Ghost-type Pokémon in Pokémon GO, known for its strong performance. It has a maximum Combat Power of 3827, which makes it a tough opponent. To get the most out of Spectrier, you’ll need to spend some candy to power it up. It evolves from Glastrier, so you must have Glastrier as your buddy and complete 10 raids to obtain it. Just make sure to keep using candy to get ahead of others.

There's A Reason It Looks So Strong

Golurk is a strong option for Ghost-type Pokémon in Pokémon GO because of its unique combination of types and well-rounded stats. As a Ghost-/Ground-type, it offers a distinct advantage in battles. Golurk has great stamina (164 HP) and is a balanced choice, making it a reliable option for both offense and defense. If you're looking for a Ghost-type Pokémon but want something a bit different, Golurk is a great pick. Also, you’re unlikely to get the Pokémon snatched by other players since it gets underestimated a lot.

While it might not be the absolute strongest Ghost-type Pokémon, Dragapult's balanced stats, unique typing, and high make it an excellent addition for any serious Trainer looking to succeed in Pokémon GO. Adding Dragapult to your team is definitely a good move, even if it’s just because of the high it has on its own.

6 Marshadow Only Looks Small

It's What Inside That Counts

Marshadow is an impressive Ghost-type Pokémon in Pokémon GO. It’s easily one of the more powerful options you can grab. Can't Go Wrong With Gen 1

Gengar is a strong Ghost and Poison-type Pokémon in Pokémon GO and is one of the best options among Ghost-types. It has a high attack stat that makes it stand out. With the charge move Shadow Ball, Gengar becomes incredibly powerful, with a total damage output of 493.38. Although Gengar’s defense and stamina aren't the best compared to some other Pokémon, its ability to deal a lot of damage quickly allows it to take down opponents before they can hit back hard. Gengar is especially useful in raids and gym battles because of its high DPS, which helps you inflict a lot of damage in a short time. While Gengar has some weaknesses, its offensive strength more than makes up for that.
